Is this playing too rough or fighting 1yo resident cat male and 2 month new kitten introduction
Hi everyone! I need some reassurance and advice on my ongoing cat introduction.
I recently adopted a 2 month female kitten named Mocha (the tortie). My resident cat, Coco, is a 1-year-old neutered male.
We followed the scent exchange and glass-door introduction method for the first few days. After seeing that the growling and hissing through the glass had completely stopped, and that Coco was even showing his belly to her through the barrier, we decided they were ready for supervised face-to-face sessions
Mocha is a fearless ball of energy. She literally throws herself at Coco. Coco doesn’t hiss, growl, or puff up his fur. However, because of the massive size difference, I feel he gets way too rough. I dont really know if they are fighting. She doesn't run away, hide or show fear
Is this normal play-fighting and boundaries/manners education Should I keep letting them play like this, or should I cut the sessions?
I have two videos on link:
