Hello, I am currently compiling all documents required to apply for citizenship through decent through my great grandfather and everything is looking pretty good except for the fact my grandfathers birth and death certificates have my 2nd great grandfathers name instead of my great grand fathers. This seems to be the only discrepancy I am encountering. I am waiting on my great grandfathers death certificate to make sure everything matches up but has anyone ran into this issue? I’m thinking I might need to petition to get the name changed due to it being incorrect. Roger’s parent’s names are listed correctly on their marriage certificate. I still waiting to get Roger’s marriage certificate.
I currently have Alexander’s German birth certificate, his marriage certificate, Roger’s birth and death certificates, my father’s birth and marriage certificate and my own birth certificate. I am also working on getting the documents from USCIS on if Alexander naturalized after Roger was born. Is there anything else I may need?
