2026 AP Physics C: E&M Exam Predictions

2026 AP Physics C: E&M Exam Predictions

I gave my predictions for the C Mech exam and ppl said it was pretty accurate, so here's my predictions for E&M this year 🙏

Q1: Units 8 + 9
possibly mixed with Unit 12

Q2: Unit 13
possibly mixed with Unit 12

Q3: Unit 11
possibly mixed with Unit 10

Q4: Unit 13

If ur still doing some last min prep, i would spam collegeboard frqs:

https://apcentral.collegeboard.org/courses/ap-physics-c-electricity-and-magnetism/exam/past-exam-questions

and use this guide for review:

Lemme know how many i got right 🫡

2026 AP Physics C: Mechanics Exam Predictions

I was going through a prediction breakdown based on recent AP Physics C: Mechanics FRQs and the new exam format, and i made some predictions on this yr's exam:

Q1: Unit 3:
(possibly mixed with momentum or forces)

Q2: Units 1 + 2:

Q3: Unit 7: Oscillations

Q4: Units 5 + 6: Rotation

Based on that, here’s what I think is likely for 2026:

That's my predictions. lowk hella late but it is what it is. i spammed frqs so hopefully should be enough for a 5 🫡

I was going through the recent FRQs (2023–2025) and noticed U2-U5 show up every year and that Fluids is new but hasn't shown up recently.

Based on that, here’s what I think is likely for 2026:

Q1:
Units 1 + 2 (Kinematics & Forces)

  • Free body diagrams
  • Net force and acceleration (motion relationships)

Q2:
Unit 3 (Energy)

  • Energy bar graphs or PE/KE graphs
  • Conservation of energy and Work-energy

Q3:
Unit 4 (Momentum)

  • Collisions and impulse -> they gonna make us predict outcomes and justify why

Q4:
Unit 5 (Rotation) or Unit 8 (Fluids)

  • Rotation: torque, angular motion
  • Fluids: pressure, density (hasn’t shown up recently so i think its due)

So yeah those are my predictions. I'm prolly gonna keep spamming other FRQs i find online and this free study guide https://www.exampredictor.co/ap-guides/ap-physics-1

also, this dudes physics animation videos are lowk clutch lol https://www.youtube.com/@EugeneKhutoryansky

hopefully im right tomorrow 🫡

I noticed the recent FRQ exams from 2024 and 2025 have been mixing units more. Also, Q3-Q5 have been rotating between U3, U7, and U8 so I’d say U4-6 are very likely to show up on the long FRQs.

So with that, here are my 2026 FRQ predictions:

Q1:

Unit 4 (Cell Communication)

  • Signaling pathways, receptors
  • Could be mixed with Unit 2 or 6

Q2:

Unit 5 (Heredity)

  • Pedigrees or inheritance patterns
  • Maybe combined with gene expression

Q3:

Unit 3 (Cellular Energetics)

  • Photosynthesis or respiration experiment

Q4:

Unit 7 (Evolution)

  • Natural selection / population change

Q5:

Unit 8 (Ecology)

  • Population models, ecosystems

Q6:

Unit 6 (Gene Expression & Regulation)

  • Transcription/translation, mutations

But yeah these are my predictions. Let me know what u guys think and good luck on the exam tomorrow 🫡
