We have a split level home with a small square living room. We have not painted or really done anything with the living room since we bought the house 9 years ago.I am looking to give it a bit if a refresh. Any suggestions? I am considering a dark accent wall behind the TV.

I have looked online but I am not loving the options I am seeing. Most of them are floor stands. My terrarium is too tall for that.
I pressed my substrate into the wet spray foam after applying it. However after it expanded and dried I carved some spots down where it expanded to much or whatever. How do I attach substrate to these dried foam spots that I carved down?
This is my first "rough draft" before I permanently secure everything and fill it all in. I am incorporating materials I already had from my previous set up into this one as well. I am building on the back and left walls only. It was really hard to get decent pictures with so much light coming through but hopefully it is visible enough. Can I get some feedback on this please and thank you.
