How to give my small bedroom apartment warm and slight medieval look?

Hi! I’d be sooo grateful if anyone has some tips on how to achieve this look. I really wanted to find a way to achieve a warm and slightly medieval look to my room (as seen from pictures 2-5)

The bedroom already came with:
- A small closet that’s attached to the wall
- A bed
- Walls right next to the bed is wallpapered, while the walls on the left side of the room are painted white
- Wood flooring

There are 2 things that I like about the current condition of this room, the wood flooring and the walls that are painted white. I hope to find a way to cover the wallpaper.
I’m an upcoming engineering student so a small sized vanity won’t do. A place to store books is needed.

I’ll be renting the space so I’m not allowed to paint the walls, tear the wallpaper, nor can I replace the bed.

That’s all from me and any help will be greatly appreciated😁

Combine 2 Bedroom and 1 Bedroom to Make 4 Bedroom and 3 Bathoom

Hi, I am looking for advice on how to design my new primary bedroom en suite and kitchen after I combine two apartment units together. The first image shows the apartment layouts as is with dimensions before combining. The second image shows the floorplan we are envisioning.

My ask is that I want help designing the layouts and design for the primary suite, the kitchen, and the new living space since we will be breaking the wall in the living area to expand that space and connect both apartments. Ideas on what doors to use, how to create a walk in closet that helps us utilize all of the space, create a bathroom that's easy to get ready in, maybe a vanity somewhere in the bathroom or bedroom?

Thoughts on Entryway?

We want to update our entryway to replace the table with a bench and add some hooks for hanging coats. We have a mudroom elsewhere so are not needing tons of storage in this space. This would be more for when guests come over as it's right by the front door.

What do you think of this mock-up I got chatgpt to do?

Which applaince color should I chose?

Edit: thanks to all! Choice was hard, but I opted for the darker set (more balanced, easy to wash paint and different than what I had prevously).

I just remodeled my laundry room last year and I was pretty confident my old appliances would last. They did not. Now I know which model I want, I just don't know which color to pick.

My actual appliances are all white (1st picture). I now have to chose between white/black and grey/black. With white/black, the black parts seem odd, but it's brighter. With grey/black it's more uniform, but it’s darker.

Not, the lighting in this room is very bright, in the first picture it's dimmed at only 80% of it's full capacity.

What would be your pick?

Ceiling fan or no?

Contractor suggested a fan - and left the “electric box” for it somewhere in the middle of the ceiling. I was originally against it because I don’t like the look of a fan. But it may be practical to help with summer heat? We have central AC and our home stays pretty cool but again, anything to help. Thoughts?

Pictures were taken before all furniture/rugs/plants/curtains were properly arranged.

Living room layout help

I can't figure out how to make this living room work, it has too much furniture. I will be buying a new couch. The furniture I'm keeping: couch for dog (under large window), coffee table, end table, tv.

Originally I was against having the couch in front of the large window since my back would be against it - but I may be able to get past that.

What is the best way to layout this room? Included is the couch I'm looking at buying and some drafts I came up with. The couch, I can choose from different fabric/color options. Being short, I'm having a hard time finding a couch I can comfortably sit on. I looked at sections but couldn't find one that worked for me.

New house came with a screened in gazebo. What are some creative ways I can use this space?

I don’t think we will use this gazebo in its current space because of bugs and it’s not very convenient. I would love to out it to good use so it’s not just sitting collecting dust. I am open to any creative idea and also okay with doing some remodeling. The interior has a fan and outlets. I also have some glass panels that can be inserted over the screens, but I haven’t tried installing them and I also don’t know if I have enough for all windows.

So far the only ideas I have are a catio (would need to tunnel a connection from my house), or remove the screens and make it a kids playhouse.

How to Update this Kitchen…

Just bought / moved in. Baby will be here in late August so wanting to keep renovations simple and “easy” to knock out over the next month or so.
1st pic is an idea / mock up and 2nd/3rd pic is what it looks like.

I’m thinking tear down upper cabinets, but this leaves me with some limited storage, clean and repaint grout, i would love to sand and repaint cabinets but that would be a big task!

Help me design the exterior

This is our home which we are constructing in our Village ,Tamilnadu (added this for more traditional style suggestion )

To the left of the staircase we will have our car parking and to the right and front of staircase we will have a 15ft high compound wall , though of using jaali upto a certain height for the front and right of the compound and for the car parking we will go with some sort roofing sheets instead of concrete ceiling and then for the white wall above the window suggest some designs that we could use...

Edit :

So the wall to the right and front of the staircase will be 15ft and to the left the entire space will be utilised as covered car parking(covered with some roofing materials like roof tile or roofing sheets )

Just bought a house and everything feels SO dated... how to work with what we have?

The marble flooring just kills everything. We have a budget so don't want to go crazy and we're looking to repaint the cabinets and maybe redo the backsplash? I've looked at every color and nothing seems to match with this stupid awful floor! Any suggesstions would be welcome :(

We have a summer house near the lake, that we want to renovate/redesign. Can you please recommend me options?

I tried to use AI but I don't like the results.

Maybe we could open the kitchen, so it could be something amercian style. Thank you all!

How to update my kitchen without replacing everything?

What can I do to update it or make it feel more “cozy” (if that’s even possible) without having to replace everything or break the bank? Replacing the dishwasher, removing the metal plate above the stove, and replacing the hood vent are the first things I’m doing. The refrigerator and stove are white. I’d eventually like all the appliances to be the same color. Are white appliances part of the problem?

Also any ideas on what to replace the metal plate with? What to do with the cabinets? Color/design suggestions are also appreciated! Thank you!

Help me refresh the outside of my new home.

We recently bought a new house, and its quite dated. I'm thinking of painting it a warm cream, and painting the roof a soft black? I'm not sure if I should paint the window frames black or keep them white? Any ideas are welcome. The deck needs an upgrade too and I'm thinking a warmer/lighter colour.

What plants, shrubs or trees would look nice ?

I have these weird pockets of space around my home that are very bare. Should I consider planting in these places or would you keep it the way it is? I took a front and rear picture of the house so you could see the aesthetic of the layout. Ultimately if I was to add something it would have to be perennial and extremely low maintenance. I already have an abundance of ferns around if that makes any difference. Thank you for your input and time.

Can this bedroom handle the dark green walls?

I’ve been playing around with a bedroom redesign using Ai, and I wanted to share a few mockups/pictures for feedback. Furniture is mine, rug and wall hangings need to be ordered. I really LOVE the rug.

My biggest question is the wall color. I really love the dark green, but I’m wondering if it will feel too dark in real life. The room does get a good amount of daylight, there are three windows and a large French door (in an 7x8 closet alcove), so I’m hoping that would balance it out.

Would you go for the dark green, or would you choose a softer/lighter green instead?

I’d also love any other suggestions on the bedding, curtains, lamps, art, or accessories. I’m trying to make the room feel warm, layered, and pulled together without making it too heavy.

Ist pic, love the look, but wonder if walls are two dark.

2nd pic, also love this, but doesn't seem as dramatic. Would not to the prints above bed.

3rd pic, current color. Chair won't fit there so ignore that.

I hate my new kitchen, help!

My husband and I just bought our first house! We love the house but I absolutely hate the kitchen. We won’t be able to do a gut renovation of the kitchen for at least 5-10 years but wanted to get some ideas on what we could do in the meantime (paint, restraining cabinets, new shades, etc. ).

Any help would be appreciated!
