Moving to Ireland

I’m moving to Ireland shortly (25f) + I’m personally going through hell in my personal life. I’ve been getting a lot of sweet messages but also a lot of heavily negative messages about moving to Ireland regarding immigration, regarding how disillusion I am and how lonely it is in Ireland. I’ve heard it’s extremely cliquey.

I don’t have any expectations for someone to be overly nice to me because I am moving to another country, I don’t think I have this novelty because I am American, but I guess my concern is, do you actually feel like it is that hard to make friends or establish connections in Ireland?

I don’t want to come to Ireland and be completely disillusioned. I don’t really have many expectations, but I also know that I’m in a season of life that is extremely difficult and I don’t expect to move to fix any of my problems, but I am concerned of the move exasperating some

American immigrating

Hi!!

I’m an American immigrating over to limerick shortly! (27f) I have been over twice at this point only and it has been so completely polarizing each time. I have my fingers crossed that it’s an easy enough transition into moving!

Is there anyone that would be comfortable being friends/ penpals of sorts leading up to the move?
