21F - Westmeath - looking for likeminded friends

**21F - Westmeath - looking for like-minded friends**

Hey :) I’m 21F from Westmeath, and I’m looking to meet some like-minded people and hopefully build a nice little friend group.

Most of my hobbies/interests are pretty online honestly 😭 I like gaming (mainly Genshin Impact, rdr2, witcher, skyrim, doom, roblox etc), watching streamers like Vanillamace, katieb, moistcritical, updating my letterboxd, and generally just doing silly fun things with people who don’t take themselves too seriously.

I don’t drink alcohol anymore, which makes socialising in Ireland a bit harder since so much revolves around pubs/clubbing, so I’d love to meet people who are also into more sober/chill activities. Things like:

* arts & crafts

* boba

* visiting random places

* movie/game nights

* trying new hobbies

* day trips and spontaneous plans

Preferably looking for people around 20–32, especially other girls, but honestly everyone’s welcome as long as you’re nice and normal lol.

If you're interested feel free to comment under this post or dm me <3

34M Dublin - Anyone up for a pint or a coffee?

Hey everyone,

I’ve been living in Dublin for a while now (originally from India), but between work and life, I haven’t done a great job of building a social circle outside of the office.

Looking to change that. I'm 34, pretty chill, and working here full-time. Not looking for anything specific, just some decent people to grab a drink with, head for a walk, or check out some food spots at the weekend.

If you’re in a similar boat or just fancy a chat with someone new, give me a shout.

[28F] - I made a little map (app) to help us find local friends on Reddit

Hey guys,

I know making friends is hard enough, and it's even harder trying to find people on Reddit who actually live near you.

I like building things, so I put together a simple little map app right here on the platform to make it easier to find each other locally. You basically just set up a quick anonymous profile: just an alias, your age and gender, your MBTI if you know it and your location (nearest city).

To help support this community, I also added a feature where you can paste the link to your intro post from this subreddit directly into your map profile. That way, when locals find you on the map, they can click to read your full bio here before sending a DM!

After you check in, you can tap on your city and see who else is hanging around your area.

31 M Armagh - looking for new connections

31 year old from just outside Armagh, hoping to meet some new people and build real, meaningful friendships.

I’ll be honest – I don’t have a massive list of hobbies or anything weird or wonderful to sell myself with. I’m fairly laid back, easygoing, and more of a quiet type at first. I enjoy simple things: a good conversation, a bit of back and forth banter, getting out for a drive, a good coffee or 5 and just chatting about life in general.

I'm a good listener but I don't like to solve everything. Presence can be enough to help in a lot of situations. You can talk my ear off and I'll happy sit there 🤣

Lonely Dublin

Im a 40 yr old male Dublin. After a fairly recent relationship break up just find it hard to find anyone to do anything with. My mates have families. Dating apps are grim. I just want to go to gig, a pint or anything else when I dont have the kids at the weekend. 🤷‍♂️

Anyone around Dublin fancy a game of football Tuesday night? ⚽

Putting together a casual 6-a-side in SportsCo at 8pm. Sound crowd, mix of locals and people new to Dublin, good buzz and good craic after work.

Nothing mad serious just a decent competitive game and a chance to meet a few people.

Only 3 spots left now so give us a shout if ye want in 👌

How difficult is it to make friends in Ireland as a foreigner?

Hi everyone. I've been thinking about this a lot and wanted to ask based on real experience, because I feel like it's one of those things you don't really understand until you experience it.

I'm Mexican, a professional, and I'm moving to Dublin, Ireland to study and work in December 2026. I'm really excited about the opportunity, but I'm also a little scared of starting from scratch in another country. I consider myself a shy, quiet, and emotional person, and I find it hard to start conversations at first, so one of my biggest concerns is how difficult it might be to make real friends there as a foreigner.

I'm not just talking about "meeting people," but about feeling like you're gradually building a real relationship with someone, having someone to talk to, go out with, confide in, and not feel so alone. I know everyone's experience is different, but it would really help me to read honest stories from people who have been through this.

Is it difficult to integrate in Ireland? Are people open to foreigners? Or does it take a long time to make closer friends?

Thanks for reading.

Hangouts?

F26, law graduate currently suffering through FE1s 😅 Moved to Dublin this year and a lot of my friends have moved to Canada, so I’m trying to build a new circle and meet good people here. Happy to exchange socials if anyone wants to have a catch up, coffee, boba etc! Not really into nights out, I prefer dinner, hiking, reading and coffee outings!

30F Louth

30 year old mam of 2 looking to make friends anywhere in Ireland! Love some general chit chat with people or I’m even willing to be that listening ear for any things you may want advice on or want to vent about. Hobbies have taken the back burner at the minute but some include gaming, cooking, baking, walking, drinking coffee (is that even a hobby?!🤣) .. easy going & open minded!

I (F22) am not interested in sports or part of any clubs so I find it very hard to make friends at my age. I wanna go for walks, Late-night drives, day trips, coffee, etc. But it feels as if everyone just wants to go for a drink, now I'm not opposed to one, but when it's the only thing people want to do it gets quiet repetitive and boring. I've tried online and a lot of people are just weird aha, so I just don't know
