Fellow old souls!
I'm early 30s F from the wild wesht! I love being outdoors, thrifting, art, film, music, quirky fashion (never following the crowd) and all the usual hobbies! Love day trips and spontaneous takeaways along the way. I like a slow pace of life. Looking to make new friends and widen my circle after moving home recently. I'm very outgoing, caring and helpful but can also be quite reserved in my downtime. Also an empath, so a good listener! Love a nice coffee and a pastry to start the day and see where it takes us! 😌 ❤️
22F looking for friends
Hi,
I'm hoping to find people with similar interests, preferably video games/shows
I'm quite introverted and have always been fine with the couple online friends I have but my only irl friends moved to other countries so I've been feeling a bit lonely lately
I don't drink or smoke so I'm not really the type of person to go out to the pub
If anyone would like to talk or even set up a group chat, that would be great :-)
+1 needed for The Weeknd 22 aug(ticket covered)
I’m going to see The Weeknd on 22-23 August. I’d like a +1 for Saturday, I figured it would be interesting to experience it with someone totally new! I’ll have the tickets and place to stay, all you need to do is make your way. I’ll be checking you out first, if you’re real, etc. Please have an active Instagram account as well.
Anything you need to feel safe/comfortable, I’ll be happy to provide. Reach out to your friends and family in case of an emergency etc.
Quick info about myself:
27yo, male.
Professional grade photographer(one of the reasons I’m going).
Limerick based.
Please message me directly! We’ll exchange details.
Recently moved back
Trying my luck again.
F30, recently moved back to Ireland, working remotely, not sure where to settle (Dublin rental prices are insane!).
So far, this whole move has just felt so wrong, following a break up of a 8 year old marriage, putting one of my dogs to sleep and finding a foster family for the other one.
I've basically traded all to start again, and I'm still not convinced I'm doing the right thing.
I'm looking for someone who could help me forget all this for a moment, and just exist with me, grab a cup of coffee with me or just go for a walk. Someone who could help me feel like a human being, rather than a racoon after a rave and sleepless week.
Besides being absolutely broken right now (no, you don't get to take advantage of that), I'm somewhat witty, very sarcastic and like animals better than people (so bonus points if you're a dog lol).
If you're insane enough to text me, good luck.
Self-driven individuals
As many people here, I've been trying to make friends with little succes.
I joined MeetUp groups, even organized mysel. I joined bookclubs as well. I took courses, went to the gym... Is not that I didn't tried enough.
My experience was always the same. Every group or club has a few organizers. The most of the time, a sole host. People attend to the events, go back their lives and wait to another event when it suits them. And there's no follow up in between.
As an adult, I don't understand this lack of initiative on the most of the people. I tried to craft a group where everyone suggest and plan something. But I always find the same outcome, everyone spects me to organize. I wonder why is so difficult to get adults to do something on their own initiative for fun.
looking forward to read your thoughts.
F26 looking for chill to chat with
Hey all!
Dreading going to bed for work tomorrow so thought I'd come on here and chat with whoever is interested!
My music tastes ranges pretty widely but my main genres would be metal and rap, but I'm always open to new suggestions across whatever you may enjoy!
Always attending concerts or going to the cinema, enjoy weekends away and trying new foods, going to arcades all that sorta thing.
Would love to chat to anyone really
M26 and F24
Hi all, is there any couples here? My girlfriend moved in with me (2hrs from her home) and is struggling to make friends down here and is feeling a bit lonely. Would love another couple to go on dinner dates or movie / outdoor activities together with. Thanks 😊
M34 looking for friends in Dublin.
Men or women, don't mind. Open to anything from simply grabbing a coffee and chatting to traveling around Europe. I am INFJ, it's very difficult to click with someone, but if it happens, it's probably something very solid. If you’re real and honest looking for new friends hmu ✌🏻
35M | Dublin | Looking to make a couple of genuine friends
Hey! I moved here about 3 years ago. Looking to meet a few new people and hopefully make some genuine friends.
I'm into movies/theater, gigs, football, wrestling, trying new food spots and going for drinks. Fairly introverted, but I enjoy good conversation — anything from shared interests and everyday stuff to deeper conversations about life, relationships, work, etc.
Ideally looking for people around a similar age with some similar interests. If we sound like we'd get along or if anyone just wants to get a coffee or pint sometime, drop me a message!
Edit: If a few people are interested, could always turn it into a casual smaller group meet too.
What are all the lively people doing tonight ?
Hey everyone 😊 what is everyone up to on this fine evening? My evening has started with some pampering 😁
I made a free app for making friends in Ireland - hoping you find it useful!
I am an Irish Software Engineer from Dublin and I built the mobile app myself. Mods, please remove this post if that's not allowed. I sent a mod mail to request permission in advance
I made the app because making friends as an adult in Ireland is quite difficult. If you didn't go to secondary school with the locals, you probably missed the boat for the friends group or clique in your town. So I built an app for those who want to make new friends somewhere else
It's called Mingle: Meetup IRL & Socialise. It's not a dating app, but that's not to say you won't meet someone nice on there. It went live on the App Store this week and there are around 150 people on it so far, so it's pretty much just getting started. This is one of my first posts I made about the app online
Mingle is completely free to download and use. You can browse all profiles, message people, and create public events without paying a cent. The idea is to get people socialising by putting up what you want to do and where you want to do it, and letting other people nearby join you. Every event has its own group chat for the people going to an event, so you can sort out the details together
On the safety side: The app is for adults over 18. It has default privacy settings built into your profile that you can configure. Every message request requires approval before it lands in your inbox. There is a user verification system that requires manual approval. Unverified profiles are filtered by default. You can appear offline. You can choose whether your profile is visible or not. All of these features are free. I added them because my niece and her colleagues use the app and I wanted to keep them safe
Mingle is only on the app store since this week, so depending on where you are it might look quiet when you open it. It's currently available on Android and iOS and if you would like to try it you can download it here: https://mingle.ie/get
If you give it a go and have feedback tell me here and make updates. I read all of the comments and feedback. Thanks a lot :)
Male 48 South West Clare
Moved here last year for work and housing. Hoping to meet someone but finding social outlets thin on the ground at this end of the county.
I'm around 6'0 and fairly slim. I like live music, fitness and am a little alternative in the way I think - a hippy in disguise maybe. Love deep conversation on philosophy and theology, I would consider myself open minded and chilled out.
Kids are basically reared and all baggage neatly packed away.
Embracing the quiet life. Plenty of space to get to know someone locally.
42M | Trim | Looking to make some friends
I am 40yo Italian male living nearby Trim.
My hobbies are music, guitar playing, tennis, yoga.
I often go to Trim for walk or a run and then a coffee or a pint.
I am looking for friends in the area for chats and activities.
Sharing a video where I play guitar, I am the one with sunglasses.
Just to show that I am real, I am a normal player!

Hi everyone
Me and a few guys are looking at meeting up next Wednesday night 19th Aug after work, to beat the midweek hump.
We are going Fia's cafe for some coffee and craic, as an excuse to get out of the house and recharge the batteries.
We are a new social group for guys aged 18-45yo. Thats meets up on a Wednesday night, that does some random activity then go for a drink and catch-up afterwards. We are keen for new guys to get involved. Fancy coming along?
Bored Midweek?
Looking to meet new people?
Looking to get out of the house?
Whatever your reason drop me a message to get involved 📨
31F| Indian| Seeking genuine friendship
Hi folks! I’ve been living in Ireland for the past 7 years, but unfortunately making genuine friendships as an adult has become quite difficult. My close friends are now scattered across different countries and many of the friends I made here have understandably become busier with kids and life.
I’m really looking for some organic, genuine friendships the kind where you don’t have to constantly try to make the friendship work. Someone to grab brunch with, go clubbing, have drinks, explore places, or just hang out and have a laugh. I’m also very big on deep conversations, talking about life, random thoughts, personal growth, or absolutely anything and everything.
If you’re also looking for genuine connections and friendships that feel natural rather than forced, feel free to DM me. Would love to meet some like-minded people
Thanks!
Iranians here? Looking for new friends in Dublin
Hi everyone,
I’m 34, Irish, and based in Ireland. Lately I’ve developed a real interest in Iran — the culture, history, language, and food — and I’d love to visit one day. In the meantime I’d like to meet people here who share some of that interest or who simply enjoy good conversation and low-key cultural outings.
A bit about me: I value depth and genuine connection over small talk. I speak a few languages and I’m always happy to practice or learn more. I dance swing, I have a soft spot for music and beautiful places, and I take my quiet time seriously. I don’t drink, smoke, or take anything. I’m steady, curious, and prefer meeting the same people more than once rather than endless one-off chats.
If you’re someone who likes museums, good food, walking somewhere with a bit of beauty, or just sitting down for a real conversation, I’d be glad to hear from you. Iranian friends (or anyone who knows the culture well) are especially welcome — one good connection often leads to others.
Drop me a message if this resonates and tell me a little about yourself.
30, chaotic and caffeinated😅
30 year old mam of 2 looking to make friends anywhere in Ireland! Love some general chit chat with people or I’m even willing to be that listening ear for any things you may want advice on or want to vent about. Hobbies have taken the back burner at the minute but some include gaming, cooking, baking, walking, drinking coffee (is that even a hobby?!🤣) .. easy going & open minded!
26M wanting to make new friends
This is my first time posting to Reddit so please be kind
Reason I’m here is because my long term partner dumped me a few months ago and i have been having a rough time, I not only lost my partner but also my friends (they were my partners childhood friends) but i was really close with them and saw them as family but after the breakup they just kind of cut me off and stopped talking to me, ngl it was like going through a breakup all over again, since then I’ve been feeling really lonely and want to make new friends who I can talk to and hangout with I’m a pretty awkward guy so trying to make friends in person is a struggle but someone I know mentioned this Reddit page so i thought fuck it why not.
So Reddit do your thing I guess
