Recently moved back

Trying my luck again.

F30, recently moved back to Ireland, working remotely, not sure where to settle (Dublin rental prices are insane!).

So far, this whole move has just felt so wrong, following a break up of a 8 year old marriage, putting one of my dogs to sleep and finding a foster family for the other one.

I've basically traded all to start again, and I'm still not convinced I'm doing the right thing.

I'm looking for someone who could help me forget all this for a moment, and just exist with me, grab a cup of coffee with me or just go for a walk. Someone who could help me feel like a human being, rather than a racoon after a rave and sleepless week.

Besides being absolutely broken right now (no, you don't get to take advantage of that), I'm somewhat witty, very sarcastic and like animals better than people (so bonus points if you're a dog lol).

If you're insane enough to text me, good luck.

Looking for someone to give me a life advice

Alright, I'm 30 and I'm starting from scratch again.

I've left my abusive husband and I'm on my way to new adventures.

But only, I'm scared af.

After 8 years of stability, I don't have home and I'm travelling with two backpacks, trying to figure out where to settle.

I've got three options.

One of them is an EU country, where the housing is brutal and a studio will cost me somewhere near 1500 euro. The job market is decent, but I've got no job there just yet. There is a decent possibility for me to find friends and I've got a very good friend there already, but he's been a bit distant for the past week.

Option two is a nordic country, I've lived here before, I know it's not a match with my personality, however housing would be sort pretty quick and cheap. I'm somewhat sure I could find a job, but I'm also sure I won't find any friends.

At this point, I'm grieving my marriage, my dogs that I had to give away and I'm dreading what's about to come. I'm afraid I'll make the wrong decision.

Ideas?

Sted for overnatning

Update:

Studio or ensuite

Hi everyone 😊

I’m looking for a place to rent in Dublin and hoping someone here might have something available.

I’m looking for either:

🏡 A studio apartment (up to €1,000/month)

or

🛏️ An ensuite room (up to €800/month)

A little about me:

I’m a 30-year-old professional working remotely in IT/operations. I’m quiet, tidy, responsible and looking for a comfortable place to call home long term.

I work from home, so I’m looking for somewhere peaceful and well cared for. I can provide proof of employment/income and references if required.

I’m a non-smoker, respectful of the property, and I take pride in keeping my home clean and organised.

Ideally looking for somewhere with good transport links, but open to different areas around Dublin. Move-in date anytime from mid next week.

New beginnings in my 30s, it's tough

30F

My life is changing right now and I'm leaving a 8 year abusive relationship behind me, while simultaneously moving to a new country.

I've done this moving thing multiple times, but this time I'm scared.

I have like two friends irl, and I can't find myself in bothering them with all my emotional mess.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, I'm alone and I need someone to talk to, whether it's a couple of lines or a friendship for life.

Normally I'm quite witty and sarcastic, recently though a bit too emotional for my liking 😅

I'm looking for someone who's mature, but also a bit stupid, just like me.

Please be 30+, and from Europe (I don't do timezones).

Travel from continental EU to Ireland

Hey,

I'm travelling with my dog (55kg, mixed breed, on passport says sharpei mix) from continental Europe to Ireland. Half of the airlines are telling me that there are restrictions on bringing dogs into the country.

Does anyone know if any restrictions?

Anyone who can recommend an airline, or is ferry the only option?

At this point it doesn't matter what country it's from, it can be Spain, France, Germany, Denmark, Netherlands....

Are you my new bestie?

30F, relocating back to Ireland (Dublin) after few years abroad.

I could use a friend or two, doesn't matter if it's for chatting in here or possibly moving it to real life later on.

I'll be moving within the next 3 weeks together with my dog (so obvious plus if you like dogs, haha).

I'm looking for someone genuine, funny, and someone I'll click with.

I'm witty, sarcastic, down-to-earth and I believe in European values.

If you "identify" yourself as anything, please keep scrolling, I don't have mental capacity for this atm (nothing against you, just not my cup of tea).

If this spoke to you, hmu.

Please be 30+ and somewhat sane.

Layover in Manchester

Hey!

I've got about 4h layover on Manchester on Friday (4h+2h before flight).

Is there anything I can manage to do in those 4h, is it worth trying to get to the city?

All ideas are appreciated 😊

Looking for flexible part-time remote work in Málaga

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for a flexible part-time remote job alongside my current full-time shift work. Flexibility is the main thing I need.

I have experience in IT support, administration, operations, and customer service (including troubleshooting, documentation, scheduling, onboarding, and general business support).

I’m currently in a bit of a transition period. I’m still temporarily living with my ex for practical reasons while we sort out moving arrangements and our dogs, but financially things have become unstable, so I’m looking for some extra income and more independence.

I’m not looking for influencer/affiliate marketing or “get rich online” schemes, just genuine remote work I can do around my shifts.

If anyone in Málaga knows of companies looking for part-time virtual assistants, admin support, IT helpdesk, customer support, or similar roles, I’d really appreciate any leads.

Thanks!

Parking near airport

Hey!

Flying out next weekend, and wondering whether there's parking close-ish to the airport that doesn't rip you off?

Aena wants 75€ for 3 days, so for now it's still cheaper for me to park in Málaga/Torremolinos and take a taxi, but it'd be more convenient to be able to park a bit closer due to early flight out and late flight back in.

Trying my luck in here again 🍀

Good morning!

30F here and I've got a very specific request.

I've got a lot going on connected to a break up and moving on, which I've been managing pretty well.

I've got an upcoming date with someone I've been in touch with for a while, and knowing myself, I always overthink and self sabotage.

So I need someone to keep me busy.

The ideal outcome would be that we bond and be friends for life, but short terms distractions will do as well.

Please no fairytale creatures, don't reach out if you have an identity crisis, I'm not in a place where I can assure you that you're okay 😅

30F where's all my fellow millenials?

30F

Just heard on a radio that 9 out of 10 people in the age of 25-40 are afraid to start a conversation irl, because they're (we are, I'm guilty of this myself) afraid of being rejected and ridiculed.

My question is, what the f is wrong with the society, where are the old days, 90s and early 00s where we haven't been constantly looking in the little screens grown into our hands and we were able to have a proper hit or miss with people, not overthinking the consequences!

Internet made a whole lot of communication easier, but also made us unable to talk to each other in a normal way.

Very hypocritical of me, given I'm posting here instead of going to a cafe and talking to people out there, I know. Baby steps.

If you're up for a chat, you're 30+ and love banter, hmu. Maybe we'll click, maybe we won't, but at least we can say we tried 😁

Parking

I've recently started working from Málaga (near Maria Zambrano) and I was wondering if there's any free/street parking within 5-10 walking distance radius?

Right now, I'm parking at Plaza Mayor, but that's not a long term solution for me.

Possibly anything near Puerto de la Torre near a bus stop?
