Looking for a site where I can download textbooks for free

I specifically need one for my history 1200 class, The Cultures of the West, 4th Edition Vol. 2 by Clifford R. Backman. I looked a little bit but I think the site I used before went down

19 with knee problems

So I did cross country in middle and high school. I did it for 5 years until my knee pain got to the point where it put me out. Aching at night and sometimes sudden weakness when walking, I also began to develop a clicking in my knees almost every other step.

A couple months later I visited a doctor who out a stethoscope to my knees and heard the grinding. He referred me to a podiatrists, who told me I have high arches and gave me a sheet of stretches I should try. They didn’t really help much.

A couple months after that I was helping my mom carry a large object up some stairs, when I twisted wrong and felt an extreme shooting pain in my knee. Almost every time I sat down I would get the same pain for about 2 months before it got better.

Now, every now and then if I step wrong I get the same shooting pain and it sends me to the ground. Last time was almost a year ago however, but I still get the same weakness and aching pain almost every day, and the clicking is constant. I know do this trick where I stand on my knees and shift my body wight forward and I can get them to pop so loud it freaks other people out, should I stop doing that? Sometimes I do feel better after that, but it could be placebo lol. Every time I’ve been to a doctor they haven’t really taken me seriously and just have given me stretches to do, but I think there may be a bigger issue. Should I just keep doing stretches or should I try to fight a doctor about it? I have insurance in the form of Medicaid.
