Scared when I feed them

My favorite thing about this hobby is finding out about a new fish. Was looking for cardinal tetras and I found out about the black tetras and how they can be a bit more hardy than the other tetras.

I however am having an issue feeding them on day 3 and I’m assuming they just aren’t used to me yet. They get startled really easy so when I bring the food they hide in the back together…

I was able to feed them some day 1 and 2. The issue is I don’t want ammonia/nitrate to build up from the leftover food. I sprinkle about 12. Like I said I had success day 1 and 2…. One of them moved like Julio jones and caught every piece falling while others hid.

7 in a 10 gallon with ramshorn snails. Semi planted… eheim heater running at 79. Feeding hikkari tropical pellets.

How often do you feed/ how do you feed ?

Double checking

Hello I am cycling a tank with feeder (ramshorn) snails currently in a 10 gallon. I’m planning to have one betta fish and possibly 6-10 pygmy corydoras.

I wanted to see if I’m almost done cycling ? Better yet if three there is anything I can do to quicken the process. From my readings I see I need to wait for ammonia and nitrite to come down ?

I’ve done slight water changes not everyday or every other day and I’ve added Seachem prime to the water I put back in the tank.

I turned on the Eheim heater to 79 because I heard the beneficial bacteria likes higher temp also will make the snails thrive.

20 gallon pea puffer tanks

Hello, I have many things arriving for my planted 20 gallon I’ve been planning. Kinda curious if they will breed ( not really wanting to do that) if I put them in the 20 gallon together.

I’m thinking 6 pea puffers and chili raspbora with shrimp and possibly some kuhli poached.

I will be waiting until my tank is cycled to make the decision.

How are you running your community pea puffer tanks ? Alone or with a community ?

Also would like any other tips/tricks on what I can do for the new puffers. Maybe what plants they like or decor and what food you seem to be able to feed/ breed easily

Looking to own pea puffers.

What is the overall consensus about keeping pea puffers in a community with Raspbora and kuhli or just Raspbora?

30" L x 12" W x 12" H 20 gal long.

Fluval 30 filter ( low flow ) ~ possible addition of something to slow the flow.

10+ plants.

No co2

Local water is between a 6 and 7 ph.

22$ 24-30 inch hitop lighting.

Caribsea Gravel and root tabs with some aquarium/fish safe plant mineral below the gravel. ( debating on stratum under)

The problem is I got the gravel first because of the sale but also love the looks of it.

I really like puffers.. I love rasbora too if I have to seperate I will be able to watch but if it’s not worth it I will just get another tank.

Pea puffer

Can you guys tell me your successful cohabitations with pea puffers ?

I was stuck between rams and puffers and the more I learned about puffers the more I wanted one.

My plan is to get a group of 6 and have some chili Raspbora in a 20 gallon long.

Are other tips or things I should know about puffers would be nice.

False tests

Swollen parotid on both sides which could also have lymph nodes that are swollen alongside them.positive ANA but negative for Sjogrens when I was tested for it months ago.

Brain fog, fatigue not so much dry skin but it happens on my feet sometimes. Feel like I’m on a high dose Benadryl is what the fatigue feels like.memory issues and knee aches.

Rheumatology appointment tommorow I figured that my symptoms were coming from long Covid or a brain injury I had in the past…. I keep searching for what’s wrong and the only physically manifestations I’ve had are swollen parotid and positive Ana.

Is there any treatments that get rid of sjogrens symptoms if that’s what I do have ?

How did you get diagnosed and does your life look better after treatment than before ?
