Is this Camallanus worms?
This tetra was getting pretty fat and really seemed like it was egg bound a week or so ago and now is looking like this. Do I need to freak out? If so, how do I treat it?

I don't know if I should euthanise this fishy now or still wait...
Neon developed some discoloration on him a bit more than 2 weeks ago and now it did evolve a bit as the discoloration filled in a bit more. He swims, schools and eats normally. And this makes it harder for me to just euthanise the poor fish, hoping it is not NTD...
I don't have any other tank to be able to safely quarantine him.
I was thinking that at any new symptom or obvious worsening I will euthanise the fish so that it doesn't die in the tank, but I am afraid of it dying unexpectedly despite normal behavior.
I am very curious at this stage, I have a 100 gal (4x2x2) that I was setting up as a planted discus tank. I got extremely impatient in a moment of weakness. I bought 12 serpae tetras because a lady following me and my daighter around a local fish shop decided to buy AAALLLLLL (we're talking like 70 cardinal tetras, even the store assistants couldn't believe she wanted all of them) of the cardinal tetras this place had in what seriously felt like a targeted attack at me and my daughter because we both were so excited that we might be able to put 20 cardinals in our fully cycled tank to go with the 7 discus planned.
Now I've read up on how much these feisty little devils can nip fins, and ended up deciding to not go with discus because I have these little dudes and I have to admit we have seriously fallen in love with them. We've now got 15 serpae's and 8 Congo tetras and I love the energy in this tank, it is off the chart, and so much fun to watch. Now I'm wondering if would seriously be so irresponsible to add discus to this hive of action and activity? The tank is heavily planted with crypts, various types of swords, lace and other mid to tall plants.
Has anyone else experienced this? Has anyone successfully kept discus and serpae tetras together? I'd love a human sense check on this please 🙏
I currently have a 250 liter fish tank set up that is home to 20 rummy-nose tetras, 10 Neocaridina and the future home for the offspring of my CPO crayfish.
I was wondering if I could add a group of 6-10 danio margaritatus (celestial pearl danio), as I really like their style. But I'm not sure if they will get along with my existing stock and if adding 10 more fish would overcrowd the tank.
There is a lot of conflicting information about this online, so I thought I'd ask if anyone has experience with that.
The tank itself is planted on the sides and the back, with a large open swimming area in the front. It also has many small caves for the crayfish and shrimp to hide in.

Sry bout the pic quality. Not even an iphone can shoot a clear pic of a moving fish
Hi, it was originally one tetra, the one with the more advanced case but now it’s two. I treated with ich x and when that didn’t work I tried Kanaplex. 3 doses over 6 days per the instructions. These little guys are isolated from my main tank but there’s no sign of improvement.

Stocking is just ramshorns that I use as a cleanup crew.
I mean, cmon they are beautiful… hearty, non stop entertainment.
I just picked up a lone green fire tetra and I’m concerned if it will school with my neon tetras.
The store had no more and didn’t want him to be alone so I took him.
Was this a bad decision?
I plan on getting gold neon tetras this upcoming weekend or next week as over time a lot of my tetras died and I been waiting for my platies to dial down and get rid of them as I just don’t have an interest for them and it’s cruel for them to be in a small group.
So my neons used to be in a school of 5 but since moving I now have 2 which is why I plan on getting more.
Should I bite the bullet and buy more green fire tetras and get the gold neons as well or will the gold neons be okay?
I don’t have a lot of money to be getting both.
I've had these 5 tetras for over 3 weeks now. Everyday I see them do this little chase or lunge at each other. Is it territorial or mating? (I doubt it's mating because I've never seen any of them lay any eggs...)
They're all eating well and behaving normally otherwise. They had Ich a few days after I put them in the tank but all better now.
They're in a (roughly) hand-made tank that's 23.5L, 45.5cm long. My LFS said 5 would be fine in there with 5 pygmy corydoras. Now I'm reading online that the tank is probably too small for both?
its insanely hot where i live right now and i checked my tanks temprature yesterday and it was around 40 degrees in each of my tanks which include tetras/kuhli loaches which is obviously really bad and i got scared so i just changed about 40% of the water in both tanks, my fish are okay now but the temprature went up again (about 35 degrees in each tank) and i dont know how to keep it cold
i did turn off the heaters yesterday as they were still on
I have never had fish before. Hes like 2 months old. Is he just having fun? Are circles a nirmak thing, it seems hes playing In the current from the filter
Pleas I fear I’m not capable of taking care of of these little guys and am not educated and equipped with enough gear to help these guys and I am looking for other options
22 Congo tetras in my 500L tank
WARNING: Lots of fish death :(
TL;DR A filter that has been perfectly fine kills all my fish, and I have no clue what I can do to stop it.
I am incredibly heartbroken and confused. I am (unfortunately) on vacation right now, so I can't post a picture until my friend who is watching over them is available (so that you have a visual of what has happened), but I have been betrayed by my HOB filter.
I have a 10-gallon tank that has a small black nerite racing snail and, previously, 10 gold neon tetras lovingly named the Fishstick Clan. My friend has dutifully been taking care of them, following my meticulous instructions and updating me at the slightest changes. Yesterday, when on the phone with her, she asked "If they're supposed to be clump up against the intake tube like that?" and my heart legit dropped. 7 of them were pressed all around the bottom intake tube of my HOB filter, dead, with one laying on the floor in clear distress and near death. After a swift euthanasian and burial, I figured out what went wrong. Previously, I had a filter sponge (borrowed from an unused tank) around it loosely. I had taken it off a day or two before leaving because I wanted that tank to cycle for when I came home. Nothing bad happened in those two days, plus all the days before yesterday. I don't know what came over them, but I guess maybe they were curious and the pull was just too much.
My friend replaced the filter sponge back onto the intake tube, and I was so thankful that my favorite (One-Eyed Jack) was still alive, along with another. Somehow, horrifically, both fish got stuck BETWEEN the sponge and intake tube. My friend had shown me the first 8, as we facetimed after she asked that question, but she told me that I didn't want to see this, as it was "gruesome".
Now I am at a loss and feel incredibly helpless. The Fishstick Clan had lived in that tank WITH the sponge covering the intake for quite a while with no casualties. Now, of course when I am hours away, all 10 die horribly to a filter that is in EVERY TANK I HAVE. I got them from Walmart, as any pet store that has anything fish related is bare minimum and hour away, and all of them came with a filter to use. I always read the manual that comes with it, and there is no dial to change the flow. I feel awful, and like the filters are out to get my fish, even though its my fault for not being there.
I don't think I can afford new filters, and I am, again, hours away on vacation for at least another week. Is there anything I can do? Or instruct my friend to do? I am really worried and overwhelmed as I am relatively new to the hobby.
Thank you so much in advance for any help and advice.
Since eating all the plants in the tank, they now get a lettuce leaf as an occasional treat.
Help please. Yesterday I got a group of 20 rummy nosed tetras. I drip aclinated them fro about 30 minutes before introducing them to the aquarium. The tank has been cycled for a month now and has lots of plants in them.
One of them seemed to always stay away from the group and like he was a slow swimmer. Today I found him upside down between some plants. He is still alive but breathing rapidly and heavily and I dont know why.
Tank is 250 liters.
pH 7.5
KH: 10°
Ammonia: 0
Nitrite: 0
Nitrate: 5mg/l
Temperature is about 25°C
The others seem to be doing fine for now but I'm scared something maybe is going on. Is there anything I can do to help the little guy?
For now I have moved him to a smaller container filled with tank water so I can keep an eye on him.
Edit: It looks like the upper part of his tail fin is missing.
I've been feeding these new ember tetras a few times a day so far, but most of that is water since their current food is thawed out brine shrimp mixed with water
I bought some Black Neon’s are received these instead. At first I assumed they were just washed out from stress, but it’s been months and they’re still doing great but have not changed in appearance. My current best guess is captive bred Gold Tetras, but I’m not 100% convinced with that idea and am looking for help.
