Hi all! So I have just received this lovely little rabbit snail, and I wanted to figure out how to best go about quarantining it. For context I am well versed in fish QT and do it quite a bit- but with rabbit snails I’m not as certain. Specifically not as certain in what they can potentially carry (disease wise, if at all). Normally I buy snails from my job or a trusted LFS and don’t even QT when I know their stock is healthy & taken care of-but this one came from a box store and I don’t want to risk any possible transmission of illness.

I was thinking a dedicated QT tank for at least several weeks would be a good start? Anyways I’d greatly appreciate yalls advice. TY! <33

So I have an empty 5.5g that I’m looking to fill, I was considering one of the dwarf crawfish. Would it be content in a 5.5g or shall they be better off in a minimum of 10g? I do also keep primarily planted aquariums and would like to do so with this 5.5g, but I’ve surprisingly not been able to find as much information about them as I anticipated- so here I am lol. So I’ve had an Amazon brand one for 4 months that was defective and am returning. Unfortunately I know long term a chiller is what I want/will be best for my baby in this setup I have. What chiller brands do y’all use/ have been good for you guys long term? (For reference I have him in a 40g). I’d like to not have to spend [more than $700 but ideally under that… I’ll gladly invest in a better chiller if it means better quality tho, easily]. In the meantime I have clip on fans a plenty. Thanks for all your help!

So we just got in starfire Angels, and I want to get some. They are tiny juveniles right now (body size of a half dollar), and I have an empty 29g I can use (planned to be with my albino/ glo cory shoal of 6) I know they like to be with others so I don’t want to just get one if they’ll be worse off, but I worry if I get 2 they will end up being the same sex and territorial in the 29g. Ideally I would have a group of 3-4 (Starfire and platinums) but Starfires are always quite small when I see them so I’d like to grow them out before adding other angel tankmates first. Insights appreciated!!
