I ordered online some Green Neon Tetras. They sent me Neon Tetras. I’m sure they are mislabeled at the seller and it wasn’t done on purpose. But I don’t want neons, I want Green Neons. The last picture is of a green neon. I’m waiting to hear back from the seller.
I have 10 lemon tetras that I’ve had for a couple months. While they have grown considerably they have yet to color in and are still transparent with a slight yellow tint. The reason I don’t think it’s my water parameters or tank or feeding is because my other tetras in the tank have colored up beautifully and look wonderful. I got them at the same time. I’m just curious what others experience is with lemon tetras because the color is nothing like all the pictures I see.
Anyone keeping or breeding these? I ordered 10 and received, what I would call, 2 distinct types. One is red orange color with a uniform color in body and fins. The other is a yellow tan body with reddish fins. Someone mentioned it could be males vs females?? I would like to get more but I want the darker more uniform type. Overall they came in smaller and have grown and colored up significantly since I got them.
How does one control mosquito larvae in my fry pot? In my regular adult containers, I don’t have a mosquito problem. Any solutions besides completely dumping water once a week?
Anyone else just have a tank full of tetras? I have Emperors, Lemon and Cherry Red Muzel tetras. The Lemons and Cherry Red shoal together. My next additions ( or is it an addiction) is going to be rummynose and cardinals. Oh, I do have Serbia Cory’s too.
