dismembered my vx under suspicion that a cable in my viewfinder was coming loose, nothing appeared to be, except for an unplugged cable in the tape-deck-side shell, might just give up and buy an immersion rc powerplay if i cant get this figured out by next week...

tips would be greatly appreciated!!

(the viewfinder had problems with green pixels lagging, and started only turning on at specific angles... then it stopped working entirely. is this a repairable issue, or am i cooked?)

im aware the minidvr isnt the best, ive been using tapes on my gl1 for a while now and it looks fine, but im a little concerned with how blurry and much noise it has, its only really an issue with my VX, this is the first time im testing this camera, and this minidvr, so im wondering if the problems are from the dvr, or if my vx just cant handle low light that well, and if you have any tips let me know

(you can also see me panning my camera over the lights, i thought i had a messed up sensor because some of the pixels would lag behind and look like an old tube camera, but after extracting the files ive learned that its a problem with my viewfinder)

Finally got my hands on a VX1, payed a pretty steep price but its so worth it, the sensor definitely has some more trouble with low light than my GL1, but its a 31 year old camera im not gonna gripe about every little problem i can find

of course im relatively new to owning camcorders especially this sony VX1000, so feel free to share some tips to keep this camera at its best

dislocated my knee while filming for a homies video part today, snapped my front element/bayo mount clean off and sent my $230 fisheye skidding across the chunky concrete, any tips on how to get this bitch clean enough to finish the part?😭 ive luckily got a mint condition VX coming in but i really cant just start filming again right now cause of the whole recovery thing.. if i can get the fisheye fixed, and even just temporarily get the front element in place, i might just toss the cam to a homie for the time being so he can fill in on filming while i recover, this is why small town skating sux, cus im literally the only filmer around, so when im out, we all out 🤕📹
