Advice for wavy /curly? Hair

Hiya! I’m looking for some advice on caring for and encouraging my natural hair texture. I have tried a couple of leave in conditioners and curly products, but am so overwhelmed by the different options!!! My hair has a fine fuzz layer that just makes it look really scruffy. I’m looking for products / routines that can help smooth it down a bit and encourage more defined curls. I also constantly have halo frizz which needs taming.

I have no idea what type of hair I have, some parts are relatively straight, and then I have some proper ringlets underneath!

At the moment, I use a wide tooth comb to apply garnier banana hair food leave in conditioner, and then scrunch my hair gently with a microfiber towel and let air dry. Any tips or advice would be wonderful.

I’d rather not pay crazy amounts but I’m willing to invest a bit in some good products.

Thank you so much in advance!

Edit to say that I have just had my hair cut at a salon that specialises in curly hair! It was my first proper trim in 10 years and I asked to keep as much length as possible.

Hello! I bought my first pair of Vomero plus directly from Nike, and loved them so much I wanted another pair! Cheapskate me got the second pair on Vinted, but I’m now panicking they’re fake. I’m worried about the insoles not looking right - although this could be from wear?

If anyone has any ideas I would be very grateful. Thank you in advance.
