I made an iOS app for Sony Alpha shooters
I'm a hobbyist Sony Alpha shooter and like most
of you I'd regularly get home from a shoot, start
editing and kick myself.
I'm not a developer by trade but I had a go at
building an iOS app to scratch my own itch.
It's called ShotPilot, you pick your camera and
what you're shooting, and it shows you the
recommended settings with step-by-step guides
to actually find them in your menu.
Nothing revolutionary. Just the app I wished
existed when I was starting out.
Covers most Alpha bodies from the A7 III
onwards across both menu systems. 8 genres
including a night mode for astro that flips
everything red so you don't kill your
dark adaptation.
There's a 7 day free trial if anyone fancies
a look. I'm mainly just hoping to recoup some
of the dev costs if I'm honest, it's £9.99
one-off, no subscription nonsense.
