Tonight, May 7th, Troy NY's City Council introduced legislation limiting ALPR use. The Mayor had something to say, but so did many residents.
Troy City Council will be introducing legislation to limit ALPR usage at their regular meeting on Thursday, May 7th, at 7PM
This legislation needs improvement, but it is a huge step in the right direction! Come to today's meeting to voice your support for legislation.
The Troy Republican Committee has been slandering Council members for listening to constituents and making a move against Flock. City council needs your support! Be sure to send them an email if you can't make the meeting.

The city council just shared ALPR legislation that would limit the use of this surveillance technology in Troy. As we currently understand it, the law doesn't ban license plate readers. It bans the data-sharing arrangements that make commercial ALPR systems profitable to vendors. We’re going to dive in this weekend — what do you think?
