What happened to the west in Earthdawn?

So we're getting ready to play an Earthdawn game and I've been doing alot of reading. So it takes place in the equivalent to modern day Ukraine and Russia with part of it in the area of ancient Rome (including Italy) and China (and other asian areas). But I can't find anything referencing the west. What happened to France, Spain, England and the Americas? Does anyone know?

What can I use to prevent the charging cable from breaking at the join?

I'm careful with my chargers because they're expensive to replace but this one frayed at the join for the charger. This is an $80 replacement and it's out of warranty. How can I prevent this from happening again? I like the rectangle plug but this bending where it joins the charging wire is a serious problem.

Bluevine or Relay?

I own a very small business. I'm the only employee and the owner and last year had a really hard time due to health issues so I only made about $3500. I really don't want a bank account where I have to pay a monthly fee. Both of these have ways of depositing cash that mean I just have to go to an allpoint machine (we have those in my city).

So why am I looking at these? Well, I'm a sole proprietor and have been running my business out of a personal account for years and I think it's time I go to a business account. I don't do alot of ACH so that wouldn't be an issue but Relay is cheaper for that if I need to. I don't like the idea of supporting these big bank companies like Chase and Capital One but still want coverage in case something happens and both of these offer it.

Here's the thing, I need help keeping the tax separate. Both of these allow you to have a secondary accounts. Relay will automatically separate 30% of all money that comes in and automatically deposit it into the other account. I can't find any information on if Bluevine does this.

I honestly don't bring in enough cash for a few cents in APY to matter.

However, I have found that Bluevine has checks but Relay does not and that could matter if I need to use one. Not that I do often, mind you. I don't need any lending. What I bring in is what I spend on my business with a little bit to use personally here and there.

I sell mostly through paypal and Venmo so I would like to make sure I can deposit from them into the account, though I'm thinking that is something that would be arranged on the Paypal and Venmo side, not the banks.

Both look good, both have the same complaints from customers online like all banks, and I honestly don't know which one to choose. I've been researching and researching for a couple weeks now and I'm sick of it.

No, I don't want to do a local bank because I live in Louisiana and I remember what happened when Katrina hit and how many people couldn't access their bank accounts because of it. Trying to get into a credit union is a serious pita and I've tried it before. Went back and forth with them 8 times for all the stupid things they were saying was wrong with the paperwork until I just gave up. And that was more than one credit union.

So... what do you suggest?
