The option to hide songs has completely disappeared? (ios, free)
as a Spotify (free) user, i have to endure Spotify's weekly selection of songs forced upon me on repeat.. sometimes, when listening to a very long playlist, i get the same song 5 times throughout the day despite me not willingly listening to it once since multiple years ago, just because Spotify's algorithm decided it wanted me to listen to it all day i guess. One way to partly prevent me from going deaf from my old music taste without mutilating my playlist is to hide songs : they stay in your playlist, but you won't ever hear them again unless you willingly unhide them. while hidden, a stop sign appears next to the song, which then becomes grayed out.
Recently I've been wanting to hide a lot of songs, but that option simply doesn't appear anymore. Instead of "⛔️ Hide song from playlist", all i have is the option to DELETE it from the playlist entirely - which isn't what I'm trying to do. (When going into the settings of a hidden song i have the option to unhide it though). What should i do? i don't want to delete songs i used to like but grew out of, that'd feel like throwing parts of my old self away lol. sometimes i just want to put a song in timeout for a few months before it drives me insane, is that simply too much to ask for..?
