Xbox series X wifi connection stability issues

Hi there-
I’ve been staying at a hotel for a few months and the WiFi for my Xbox specifically is awful and inconsistent. I’ve contacted their WiFi support peeps and they’ve reset the connection point and everything, and my phone will run like 60-80mbps download speeds, but my Xbox 95% of the time won’t even go to 1mbps download speeds. The upload speeds will be anywhere from 25-45mbps, though. After repeatedly talking to WiFi support they’ve told me it’s the Xbox and there’s nothing else they can do.

It will randomly work sometimes and hit 70-100mbps for anywhere between 5 minutes to about an hour, then back to 0.05-0.9mbps for who knows how long. And when it *is* working, it will stutter a lot, like it seems like the speeds will jump up and down.
I’ve done the whole “hold the power button for ten seconds then unplug for 10 seconds” thing. Nothing. Forgotten the network and reconnected. Nothing. There’s no Ethernet connection in the walls anywhere in this room. From looking online I’ve tried changing the dns settings and everything and it still won’t budge (so I reset my settings back to normal)
There was one time I used my phones WiFi address for my Xbox’s MAC and it worked… for about 30 minutes then went back to the same thing. (It might have just been a coincidence to the timing, honestly) I also paid for “premium WiFi” for the first month but stopped cause it literally made NO difference.

About 3 days before I connected it to the WiFi here, I had it connected to my moms internet and it worked fine so it makes it hard for me to believe a hardware issue suddenly happened as I handle my Xbox like it’s The One Ring and is precious.

Ideas? This is my only escape and access to a social life because I’m disabled. :(

Anyone have methods to prevent sticky from touching a beverage container?

Hi, I have been gaming a lot more and one issue I have that’s driving me a little crazy is when I have a soda, juice, coconut water, basically anything containing some sugar, I go to grab my controller after and immediately feel like my hands are unbelievably sticky and I immediately get up and wash my hands.

I’ve washed the outside of these containers, dry them off, then go to game and will reach for my drink for a lil sippy, and I gotta ditch my game immediately after to wash my hands cause they feel sticky.

I’m too broke to attempt a thick reusable bottle or anything like that right now, but even in a glass or plastic cup, the sugar seeps thru it or something.

I’m frustrated because I’ve seen my siblings, dad, and friends able to just sip their drinks then continue gaming or writing or whatever they’re doing like they don’t even notice the sticky is present- but for me it’s all I can think about and I have to wash off the feeling ASAP. (I swear, if my house was on fire and my hands were sticky, I’d wash them before exiting the house 😭) I wish I was able to just sip a drink and get back to what I’m doing without all the extra steps. Even baby wipes aren’t an option because the residue it leaves feels sticky to me.

Any ideas to like, prevent this so I don’t have to do a bunch of extra steps after a simple drink of a yummy beverage? Ik this might sound like it’s not a big thing, but it is to me and I get so frustrated. Any advice or ideas makes this post worth it. Thank you.
