Impossible to get Auto insurance

I need to specify this is for for cars over $150k. I found a sweet 2024 911 C2S for sale at 188,900. I was looking to trade in my GTS 4.0 and buy that, all numbers worked so then i decided to get an insurance quote before signing off and i was basically just stonewalled from buying this car. It is literally impossible to get insurance on anything over 150k. I lucked out on my GTS 4.0 last time as with taxes it was just below 150 else apparently i wouldn't have been able to buy that either.

A few points

- i am in Ontario

- clean driving record with no tickets

- been licensed for 12 years now on a G license

- continuously insured for 12 years

- I am 31 years old

- Have owned fast cars before (S5, M340, 2 Supras and mow GTS 4.0)

EDIT: The 911 will not be a daily its a second car that will be used for 6 months of the year for about 3000 kms a year.

My current insurer (Scotia) said they can't do anything for cars over 150k, same with TD, RBC, DESJARDINS and CAA. After they all said no i called Hagerty and they were utterly useless they need me to be insured for 15 years and have experience of owning a high performance car like something similar for 3 years which i cant get insurance for anyways.

I can't be the only 31 year old looking to purchase a 911, what am I missing here? Any advice or input would be appreciated 🙏

EDIT: Thank you everyone, spoke to Chubb, Desjradins (through agent) and AON (through porsche Canada) and ended up getting a pretty competitive quote with AON (about 330/mo) so decided on going with them. FYI when calling AON through the Porsche Canada line their upper limit is 200k instead of 150k so i wasnt slammed with high value premium which I was facing with the other 2. Deductible ended up being $5000.

Thank you for all the help!!

Is this slip and fall claim worth it?

This may be a bit complicated since this happened on a Cruise originating from Texas but me being Canadian (living in Ontario) wasn't sure where it fits.

I was on a 8 day Cruise on MSC (booked through MSC Canada) and while docked in Costa Maya the floors had become extremely slippery due to the temperature between inside and outside the ship. There were wet floor signs in multiple places but none on the stairs which were carpet EXCEPT for the bull nose which was metal. While going down the stairs my foot went on a bull nose and i instantly fell down about 6 or 7 stairs, I fell on my back and thumb. There were 2 staff members that witnessed the fall and asked if i am ok to which i said I am not sure, I asked where the med bay was as my finger was bleeding was swollen and turned red.

I went to the med bay and there was no staff anywhere to find i finally went to shore and found a local pharmacy where I picked up a splint for my thumb and basically just tolerated the back and thumb swelling and pain the rest of my trip. Its been 2 months now and my back pain has aggravated with swelling on my lower back and pain that still hasn't gone away from my thumb with a bulge felt at the joint. I finally went to the doctor (yes i know i am dumb for not going sooner) who urgently ordered x ray and MRI's which I am waiting to hear back on the result of next week.

Why didn't i go to the doctor sooner?

I have had multiple experiences (in Canada where I live) in the past where I wasn't heard and appointments were given 6 months to a year after I brought up my issues. Eventually I started feeling what was even the point to go to the doctor. This time the pain got to a point where I was struggling to walk which eventually forced me to go to my family physician who understandably was annoyed by my decision to not come sooner. I am currently on muscle relaxants which has somewhat helped the pain and doing physio. Both my family physician and the physio asked why I wasn't considering legal action which brought me to writing this post.
