▲ 1 r/Mold

I've been having issues with water coming from baseboards into dining room and my kitchen in my apartment. The first few times it was from an issue with my neighbors sink upstairs. Their sink was fixed but nothing was done to dry out my baseboards or find out how it was coming down the walls into my place. Today there was more water coming from the baseboards and the apartment maintenance couldn't figure out why and left. I started cleaning and looked in my kitchen closet/ pantry and noticed that damp smell. I looked up and noticed visible mold and bubbling. I'm very worried because I have horrible asthma. Last year there was an HVAC leak in my bathroom and it caused mold in the ceiling that did not get addressed until I called the city. Instead of calling a company though, they just cut out a huge hole while I was at work and left it open for days. I was so sick I had to go to the ER. They closed up the hole and said they cleaned the HVAC ducts but I highly doubt it. I tried to get out of my lease and couldn't without charges and a hit to my rental history which is perfect so I've stayed. Now it's all happening again and my anxiety is so bad. Luckily my lease is up at the end of June and I've already found a new place. I'm just worried I won't be able to stay here after just paying rent. Does this mold look really bad? I'm pretty sure it's in the walls. I have sent management a very detailed email requesting they use professionals this time, and I also reported it to the city because they've known about the water issues for months and done nothing. Thank you for listening to me rant, I'm just a nervous wreck.
