TRANSFER PREP

This is something I did for my own embryo transfer, and I was fortunate enough to have successful implantation on my first try. I later shared these tips with a friend who also had a successful implantation on her first transfer. I also shared them with someone who experienced a failed implantation on her first round, and she went on to have success with her second transfer.
I am NOT saying that these things are guaranteed to work 100%—it could all be a coincidence! But I do know how much we all want to feel proactive and like we’re doing everything we can leading up to transfer and during the dreaded two-week wait.
For me, these things gave me peace of mind. Knowing I was being proactive and doing whatever I could helped me get through the process mentally, physically, and emotionally. Sometimes, just feeling like you have a little bit of control during such an uncertain time can make all the difference.
With that being said, I’m sharing my tips in hopes that they might help someone else as much as they helped me—not only physically, but mentally and emotionally, too. ♥️

1. Keep your feet warm
Started 2 weeks before transfer and continued until 4 weeks of confirmed pregnancy.
Wore socks all day and night.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, keeping your feet warm is believed to support circulation and “warm the uterus.”

2. Daily juice cocktail
Started the nights leading up to transfer and continued for 2 weeks post-transfer.
1 cup beet juice
½ cup pomegranate juice
½ cup tart cherry juice
I used organic juices with minimal ingredients and no added sugar.
I chose these because they’re often associated with supporting healthy circulation and blood flow.

3. Walk & stay active
Walked a lot leading up to my transfer—sometimes up to 2 hours a day.
After transfer, I continued with gentle walks for about 40–60 minutes.
I tried to take a few shorter walks throughout the day when I could.
After my walks, I’d come home, lie on the floor, and put my feet up on the couch for a bit to help all the blood flow to my uterus.
Most importantly, listen to your body! If you feel like you need to rest and take it slow, then do so!

4. Prioritize sleep
Made sure I was getting 9–10 hours of sleep every night.
I would sometimes go to bed as early as 8 PM!
I really prioritized rest during this time.

5. Acupuncture + full-body massage
Got acupuncture and a full-body massage the day before my transfer

6. Acupuncture after transfer
Got acupuncture again the day after my transfer.

7. Lymphatic drainage massages 🤍
I used to get monthly lymphatic drainage massages leading up to my transfer.
I don’t think this is necessary if you’re already walking and staying active, but it was something I personally enjoyed doing.
