What do you think about this situation? Ages 30F 35M
So my boyfriend is getting me a gift and anytime we gift things to each other, we always pick them out and know exactly what we are getting. So we go to try on sunglasses and there are two pairs I like. I tell him I want the pair he didn’t like as much, because it a gift for me and I want to like them. a week goes by and he insists that I get the pair he likes more and says that it’s an expensive gift from HIM so it should be the pair that he likes more. I then go on to tell him that you didn’t hate the pair I liked more so maybe I can get the ones I like. He then says he was only being nice and that I look unattractive in the pair I like and attractive in the pair he likes. he made me feel very bad that I wouldn’t agree to get the ones he likes more so I eventually agreed to get them. the ones I perfer are actually cheaper, so it has nothing to do with money. We have gone through a lot and he is starting to become more controlling on little situations like this. is this weird?
