Trying to figure out how much and what kind of care to provide during VSED
My mother is going to start VSED soon. We can be there for her and she can afford caregivers. She doesn't want us to help with her bodily functions or bed care. She has pain medication which she will be getting in liquid form. She's in an "independent" area of an assisted living facility. They are informed of her decision but will not be providing the care she will need (because she wants to stay in her apartment). We've been told anyone doing VSED needs 24/7 care.
I've had conversations with agencies that provide caregivers, but none of them were familiar with VSED specifically. I'm hoping somebody here might be able to share their experienced insights. Thank you
