And he still left.

That's the part that takes the longest to process.

Because it wasn't like he was blind to it. He watched you show up consistently. He saw you make real sacrifices — adjusting your schedule, your energy, your priorities — all quietly reorganized around someone who never reorganized anything for you. He knew you were genuine. He knew you weren't performing or playing it cool or keeping options open. He had the full picture of how much he meant to you.

And he used that knowledge to stay comfortable, not to stay committed.

That's the cruelest part of loving someone who isn't ready to be more than superficial. They don't always leave because they don't know how you feel. Sometimes they leave because they know exactly how you feel — and they know that no matter what they do, you'll still be there. Until you aren't. Until the day you finally run out of adjustments to make and love to give to someone treating it as a backup plan.Not to mention emotionally, physically mentally, spiritually, sexually, financially,sneakily, selfishly cheated.

You weren't too attached. You were too available to someone who mistook your consistency for a guarantee.

Real love doesn't weaponize your feelings against you.
