First time grower here. I inoculated on 4/18. I think the temperature has been less than ideal and that's why it is taking so long or is this typical?
I went with golden teachers for my first time. Just now starting to see a bunch of mycelium spreading throughout.
I plan to mix this with dung loving substrate from North Spore once it is fully colonized. I also have some compressed coco coir for a casing layer but after reading a lot on here and other subs, I've decided to exclude it and just send it when ready.
How are the moisture levels with this substrate? Any other reputable vendors you guys recommend?
The room temp has been cool this week ranging 67-74°F. How is that effecting the colonization process?
Should I post an update when it's a little further along?
