How to handle customers that don’t want to “Connect and Personalize” or In a Hurry/No Small Talks.

Recent Reddit discussions suggest Apple has abandoned its central retail approach; although “hospitality” and the CREDO are emphasized at CORE, leads and managers primarily expect performance metrics.

How does everyone handle customers who just go
“Trade In. Phone. Now. No Accessories. No AppleCare, No BS. No what you call Connect and Personalize.”

Like, if you have a string of those types of customers, how would you handle those types of pushbacks when your metrics are sitting at 0-0-0-0 and your expectations and performance are heavily relied on metrics. 🥺

Does Leads/Managers favor those that get constant recognition/stories or those that have strong metrics?

It seems like managers/leads tend to favor those that get recognition/stories. Whenever I tell a lead/manager about my metrics for the day, I feel like my accomplishments aren’t acknowledged. How is it for everyone else?

For converting to permanent, do managers prefer recognition stories or strong metrics?

How to land a permanent position (any role) after seasonal contract ends?

It seems like we're bringing on a large number of seasonal hires this year, and I'll admit I'm starting to worry that only a small number of us will be offered permanent Retail Specialist positions.

I understand that attendance, performance, and metrics all play a major role in those decisions, but I'm wondering what I can do to give myself the best possible chance of earning a permanent position.

Without going into too much detail, things have been challenging for me lately, and the job market has been incredibly tough. Landing a permanent role would honestly be a huge opportunity and would mean a lot to me. I want to make sure I'm doing everything I can to put myself in the strongest position possible.

Thanks for the feedback and advice!

Questions Hiring/Senior Manager Asks During Internal Technical Specialist Interview?

For context, I am currently a Seasonal Specialist looking to transition into something permanent. What questions do they ask? What advice or feedback would you give? Is the interview heavily on competence and working with ambiguity? Or is the interview mainly looking at performance, complex situations, connect and personalize, and working/collaborating with teammates?

Odds of Getting Interviewed for Ops Specialist or Staying on as Permanent?

Hello all,

Just recently got rehired as a seasonal specialist and completed CORE. Saw an open position for operations specialist at another store posted internally. Was wondering what the odds are of getting interviewed for operations specialist or staying on as a permanent?
I do know that attendance, motivation, wanting to learn and grow, and customer service are the key to staying, but I’m just curious what the odds look like.

No Update Scan in over 48 Hours! Is the Package Lost or Stolen?!

Been calling FedEx Customer Service every 2-3 hours since Tuesday afternoon! I keep getting the roundabout that someone will call me and a “manager” will do a trace. Still no call or anyone assigned to the ticket! Item is going to TAG grading in Los Angeles! The box is very distinguishable! White 11x8x4 white Scotch box with the letters PR written on it with Sharpie! It’s literally just going up the 405 freeway! So what gives?! Is it lost in transit or is it stolen?! It’s a very expensive trading card and I need to get it delivered!
