In a previous post about my FJ and steering wheel shaking when I brake it was determined that I need new pads and rotors. Can anyone recommend good sets worth a good price? I looked at OEM but for ALL new pads and rotors I’m looking at around 500-600$. Does anyone have any good recommendations? I don’t want to cheap out on brakes but I’m not sure I can afford that much right now. Thanks yall.
In my second video shows a high pitched squeaking when I go into reverse. I looked online and it was similar to bad u joints other people had. I looked at my u joints in the video and didn’t have any play in them only the drive shaft. Are theses still bad or is there something else?
I also heard that if one side of the u joint is hot and the other side ain’t it could be a problem or something like that. Which that is happening.

Recently a squeaking sound was noticed when going into reverse all the time ( I hit a curb a few weeks ago but this was happening prior but not as bad). The sound appears even without breaks applied so I kinda ruled out breaks (unless it could still be them). I was told it could be the suspension but when I looked at it I didn’t see anything obviously wrong and nothing really had any play. The video is probably ass but can anyone give me an idea of where to start looking?
Also when I was under I noticed this shit had some play. Is this also a concern?

So I think I need to replace my rotors and break pads but it’s coming to around $500 for all OEM rotors and pads. Before I sadly pull the trigger I wanted to get some final opinions to see if these are likely the cause.

- When braking at high speeds, steering wheel and car shake
- when going to reverse and driving there’s a audible squeaking sound

Semper rah and all that gents. I’m a Cpl in avaiton and just got my acceptance into the USNA prep school. I’m a few months from a 3yr mark in the corps and I’m still on the fence about going to NAPS/USNA and committing 5 years to being away from the Corps and the culture. Can anyone shed some light on the experience or offer any general advice for upcoming mustangs. Thanks.
