Account on hold, appeal rejected

I accidentally was on a VPN when I attempted to verify my ID. It resulted in a hold of my account. I went to appeal it and they said the following:

“Your account is restricted as your IP address has been flagged as high-risk by our third-party security and monitoring systems, which we use to maintain data quality and protect platform integrity.

Unfortunately, we can't manually override these flags as the systems operate independently to ensure unbiased security checks.

Flagged IP addresses are reviewed periodically, and access can be restored once an IP is no longer flagged. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee when this will happen, if at all, so for the time being, you will not be able to use Prolific.”

Has anyone experienced this before? I always have a VPN on my phone for security reasons and didn’t realize until after that it would flag my account. Anyone had their closed account reopened after some time of waiting at all or am I out of luck? Was really excited to sign up for Prolific but doesn’t seem like that’s an option at all anymore.

Gum health concerns

A few weeks ago I started to experience some sensitivity in my gums for the first time ever. My gums in my top front teeth were very sore and I would wake up some mornings with blood in my mouth. This is the first time this has happened to me. I recently went on a 2 month trip and was just using a travel toothbrush to brush and barely flossed, I only used the little flossing pick tools to get between my teeth. I wanted some insight on what the health of my gums looks like as my dentist has never brought it up as a matter of concern before.

My gums along my bottom 4 middle teeth are also in weird shape and the one dead center is very loose and will move out of place from side to side when I floss there. I asked my dentist about this and they said it’s nothing to worry about as long as I don’t care about the “aesthetic” of my gums.

Prior to the sensitivity when I was at home my normal routine was flossing once a week (not enough I know) and brushing twice daily. Since my recent sensitivity, I’ve changed to the following:

- flossing daily before bed
- using a waterpik 2-4 times a day (especially after meals)
- brushing 2-3 times a day (always in the morning/night)
- mouthwash anytime after I brush

I just wanted some insight or advice. I’m not sure I trust what my dentist told me and I’m worried about my gum health long term. Does this look like gum disease? Thank you in advance

Edit: I also have gotten a gum graph on my front bottom gums about 15 years ago as a result of aggressive brushing. Do I look like I might possibly need another one in the future? Or can my bottom gums get better on their own with strict and meticulous oral hygiene?

GP won’t change gender marker on my medical file

I recently went to the doctor and had to get a lab requisition for bloodwork and noticed my gender marker on said bloodwork was still marked as female even though I have legally changed my name and gender marker years ago and it is reflected on all my legal documents as male. I have been on T for 5 years and completely pass socially as male as well for context.

When my GP printed this out for me and I saw it I asked him if he could please change my gender marker in my file to male so when I give the requisition to the lab, there is no confusion and it also makes me dysphoric having to disclose that I’m trans when there really is no need to unless required (I would if I needed to).

My GP responded to me basically by saying that it has to stay marked as female for medical reasons as that’s how I was born.. is this an isolated situation? My GP has newly taken over in my doctor office maybe 3 years ago as my last doctor retired. He has never given me the best vibes as he’s a bit condescending and I’m wondering if I’m dealing with a situation that is normal across the board or if he is just choosing to keep my gender marker as that on my file for his own specific reasons? Any advice or insight is appreciated thank you.

28M. Got a prescription to start oral dut and min. For context I’m a transman and have been on T for about 5 years. Is it too far gone to recover? How long should I wait to see actual results from the meds?

Ive been a bit skeptical to start the meds as I try to stay away from extra pharmaceuticals since I’m already on T as well as ADHD meds. I don’t love the idea of adding 2 more daily but have become extremely self conscious of my hairline and now it seems like my crown is going too. I guess I want to try to see if I am even receptive to them before it’s too late

Signed up for a prolific account and I am having difficulties as it won’t accept my address and keeps giving me an error telling me to try again later. Everything else in my account creation has been approved. I even went to a link that the verified prolific reddit account posted to create a ticket or contact support regarding the error but that’s the screen I was brought to when I clicked the link. Does anyone know how I can contact support about this and fix it? Thank you
