Do JE actually send an email when my area is available?

I have tried to sign up to Just Eat. It made me input a bogus address as mine was not recognised (not a good start). Then it asked me to choose an area. Mine was not available and the one next to it same thing. The app said I will receive an email when my area is available.

Questions:

  1. Do they actually send that email, and:

  2. I can't log in the app any more. Does it mean I'm banned for choosing the wrong area?

"Appropriate equipment for food transportation"

I'm in the process of applying for Uber Eats. My documents are in for review. I have not completed the step "appropriate equipment for food transportation" because I don't have the bag yet. Can I do that later? Or will my application be stuck until I have completed this?

I don't have a bag yet. Is it recommended to buy it from Uber or can I buy it from 3rd parties? Thanks

Do you need an NFC phone for Uber Eats (and potentially Just Eat)?

I know that Deliveroo requires an NFC phone for delivery riders. I have an oldish Android phone without NFC and Android 9 (not upgradeable) I wonder if it's good enough for Uber Eats, at least to start, or am I screwed?

Buying a new Android has become quite expensive.

Thanks.

WTF? I've just had an AI job interview!

I applied for a warehouse job, to fair, a bit far away (12 miles but it's not the end of the world). The job description mentioned that it was rotating shift, the earliest starting at 9 am, the latest starting 13:30, Monday to Friday.

I've just had an automated telephone call. I was told it was AI, the 3rd question was: How do you plan coming to work and I said "public transport", then I was asked how long the journey would be and I replied "An hour or so" and that's when I was told my application had been rejected.

I mean, WTF and WTF?
