Does anyone know what i need to get for these classes?
I have applied to sooooo many jobs but with my class schedule it seems almost impossible to find a job with my class schedule. Any recommendations of side hustles or companies that hire and are flexibke with college students?
Going out on a limb here but i thought I would see… Im doing my environmental science undergrad at CSUMB and im hoping to get in touch with more people working in the field or doing any kind of research they might meed help with. I have applied to internships and asked professors and grad students if they need help in their labs but my first year I didnt have much luck. Im trying to get a wide variety of experiences so i can try to figure out what path I want to take. Any advice or people who might need help on their projects, i would love to hear from you! Thank you!!
Hi im going into my second year… i have applied to lots on internships and volunteer positions in monterey and surrounding areas but im finding it hard to get experience as a lower division student. Does anyone have advice on how i can get into labs, internships etc. I feel like im already behind and im nervous about the job prospects I would have out of school without experience. Im also considering transferring after this year but i dont know where i would go, financially I feel sort of stuck. I am also hoping to meet more like minded people if anyone has advice for meeting people on such a dead campus. Any advice is appreciated! Thank you!!
Im very lost… im going into my second year of undergrad in environmental science. I switched from marine science to environmental science after my first semester because i was scared about the job market and thought a broad degrree would be better. Now im hearing all these things about how competitive entry level jobs are, how its hard to find payed rolls out of college, and that its hard to find a stable job. I dont think i have the money for a masters and my school preached the hands in opportunities but its been impossible to get involved with how much competition there is for such limited positions (even volunteer roles). I always knew this wasnt a well paying field but i was willing to overlook that because of the impact you make on the environment. But all these people on reddit are talking about how the work they’re doing isn’t even rewarding and that they regret overlooking the cons to this field. I wanted to work in conservation and wildlife biology but i just dont know if this is a possibility for me. I applied to internships and volunteered as much as i could last year but i didnt get any internships. Im really rethinking my choices,I’m already worried about money and job insecurity… it just seems hopeless from everything ive been reading online. There are so many people more qualified than i am (and will be even with a BS) saying that they cant get jobs even with a masters and experience. I am feeling very depressed thinking that i might be spending all this time, effort, and money on a degree chasing a dream that I’m not even sure about anymore. I dont want to end up unemployed living with my mom. Pleaseeee i need advice. Sorry this is very long but i have alot on my mind
