Baby Cries 24*7 unless held

Hi, we are first time parents. this is about my 6 month baby who cries alot since the day he was born. The baby cries his lungs and heart out. He had very bad reflux until 3 months and has been so much better since then. He cries if he is not held, he cries in the car seat, he cries in crib, cannot sleep alone in crib, he cries in the stroller, he cries in the lounger, he cries in the high chair, he is fussing (pre cry or small cry) if he is not fully crying. Either he is fussing or he is crying the entire day apart from his sleep. He wants to be held constantly 24*7. He is happy only when held- ONLY WHEN HELD. He wants to see around only when held. He wants to explore only when held. He wants to play only when held. Doctor says he is okay. One doctor even mentioned may be it is his temperament. His weight and height and meals are okay & progressing. He smiles and is reaching all his milestones. He responds to his name. He is strong and growing as per his age. He cries alot and wants to be held all the time. I am so so concerned something just doesn’t feel right. We are first time parents and are tired of trying. Anyone, any help, suggestions, advice, please.

Hi all. Sorry for the english, not my first language. I am FTM and I really don’t know what to do. If anyone can provide insights please help. My 11 weeks old was diagnosed with CMPA at week 5 and is on nutramigen since week 6 completely, no breast milk just nutramigen. He was 40 percentile in weight at 2 months appointment and 97 in height. He poops well, feeding is on lower side since last one week and we have started tracking again which we stopped at week 9 since he was having good amount. He has a good hold on neck and is reaching his milestones. Sleeps 10-12 hours at night. Has started cooing but only for a short duration. The problem is he cries constantly non stop. There are only few times when he doesn’t cry mostly after waking up in the morning. Also when he coos the most. He doesn’t want to lie down at all. He wants to be held constantly. As soon as we lay him down he starts crying within seconds. He never had a time himself yet or play himself in the crib or on the bouncer. Even cries when we hold him. There is nothing wr can do to stop him from crying. We don’t know what to do. We are at the verge of breaking down. We don’t know what problem he is having. Or if he is in pain. Please, please if anyone can help or give suggestions please let me know. Please ask questions if you have to.
