I’m having a tough time deciding to go for the HD 44. I’m sporting a 2007 xdz 144 (44”) and while it’s an absolute unit, getting parts has become a bit of a hassle to maintain it creeping on 3000 hr mark. I’m fairly small scale only 30 clients as I’m retired and just do lawn care to keep me busy and I’m solo.

Really difficult to find ANY reviews on compact pro and every dealer I speak to say the HD is what everyone has been getting and they hardly sell the compact pro.

I like to keep and maintain instead of turning equipment in every few years.

Any advice or even a direction to information on the matter is helpful thanks!

I’ve got an 07 xdz 144HD with an fh641v (21hp). The new compact pro has an fx600 (19hp)

Any insight as to why they lowered the hp rating for the same commercial size 44” cut. Am I going to be getting issues with boggin in thick grass due to the lower hp numbers?

Considering purchasing a new 44” during pro week with my dealer but concerned I’ll be downgrading….
