i have failed in my class 12th cbse 2026 wht to do next

I failed my CBSE Class 12 boards in PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Maths). Honestly, I hate PCM and I don’t want to continue in this field anymore.

I still have another CUET exam in 1 week, but after failing boards I’m confused whether I should even give it or not.

I’ve already researched options like NIOS and appearing again as a private candidate, but I still can’t decide what’s the best route. My parents will only allow me to go to a government college, so private colleges are mostly not an option.

Right now I’m stuck between:

  • Giving improvement/repeat exams through CBSE or NIOS
  • Preparing again for CUET
  • Switching streams/career paths completely
  • Taking a partial drop/full drop

I feel mentally exhausted because everyone around me keeps pushing PCM while I genuinely don’t see myself doing it anymore.

Has anyone here been in a similar situation after failing 12th boards? What did you do next, and what would you realistically recommend in my case?
