"The day of the night of the day"

This phrase has been in my head for years. It's from a film, describing a solar eclipse.

The phrase is repeated a lot of times during the film so it stuck with me.

The film was quite scary and the hero was a barbarian-type guy. I caught the film on TV during the mid-80s when I was about 6 years old, and it gave me nightmares.

Looking for Generic Fantasy Novel from 90s or Early 00s (Features Slaves in Mountain-side Prison)

I've e posted about this before, but here goes. The book featured a young hero trying to save his land from an evil dark lord-type villain.

The villains name was very generic. Something like The Dark Lord, Lord Fear, Lord Evil or something like that.

There was a scene involving the hero coming across a lot of people kept prisoner by the dark Lord in metal cages affixed to the side of a tall mountain.

The young hero kills the dark Lord by throwing a rock at him, which hit him on the head and killed him.

I'm not sure if it was part of a series or a standalone story. I read the hardcover version, which had a dark cover featuring a well-drawn forest. I live in the UK so may have been a UK writer.

It was the title that attracted me to the book. The story was quite generic, but the title was epic-sounding. Something like Dark Universe, or Dark Planet. It might not have had Dark in the title though.

Thank you. I've been trying to remember this book for decades.

Hi guys, quick question. I just had super foil insulation put in my loft, and when it's windy you can see it puffing in and out slightly. Is this normal?

Any other tips or advice you'd care to add would be welcome too. Thanks.
