So a little background, I played railway tycoon 2 when i was a kid, and even tho i didnt understand shit about wha is going on, train go choo choo ya know. I wanted to buy those but they arent available in my country, so i came to this. I watched some videos on this game, railway empire and open ttd but i did not really understand things. So help me be more informed.

So my question is , is this game similar to RT2? I know you can have all types of transports, but if i wanted to can i get by with just trains?
Is this Beginner friendly as well? This is my first game of this kind, and I work 2 jobs most days so I dont want something that feels like a third job. I want a middle level challenge and watch train go choo choo and kinda chill. On this note as well can I just stay on steam engines eternally instead of going modern.
I wanted to get railway empire 2, but that one has mixed reviews, as well as dlc, with lower discount, while transport fever 2 does not. Is that one better for trains overall or is this one just as good?
Is it even worth a buy now that TF3 is coming out. From what i understand, these games are usually like "earlier game plus" with how they advance, so Will waiting and saving up for TF3 be better in the long run?
How does this compare with Open TTD, besides graphics. This is also an important ask.

At this point in time I genuinely just thought random cool shit and made it. Didn't think about how it would work or where it would be used.

The Stinger was made in 2018 I think . Ignore handwriting. I wanted a fast pinpoint accuracy fighter which relied on bombs/missiles to basically alpha strike ships and zoom out. Glass cannon type ship. The idea was inspired by the Night Fury from How to train your dragon.

The Scorcher was made after I played one round of ewok hunt and decided that the entire forest moon of endor needed to go. Yes it's a joke ship. But the idea was that this one would swoop in, flame hard to reach areas or launch incendiary missiles to flush out the enemy from their hidey holes using smoke and fire. Would it work? Probably not.

Can someone tell me if this game is for me?
