I am doing the campaign right now, because a lot of people told me to do that when I asked about tips on my first post here.
The campaign is good, I have fun but I also try to build extra things to see if I really understand this building system or not.
I thought I understand how to put signals put no I didn't.
Why the train doesn't stop here? Please help me and explain
Is there a mod that makes the trains fully go into the freight stations when u made them max length?
I've been thinking about making a slate quarry, a quarry that has an incline. is it possible to build a incline? and if yes, what mods do you people recomend that will complete such a quarry? (i plan to lay 600mm feldbahn rails for the quarry)
It will help you plan a new passenger/freight station and even one already surrounded by buildings.
Once a yard is too big my brain turns off and i dont know what i am doing.

Dear friends, today I’d like to show you the latest development of my project, Kurpfalz Interbellum.
I’ve just finished a small area in the northern part of Mannheim, squeezed between the Neckar River and Friedrichsring. Historically, this was the site of a small railway station belonging to the OEG transport company—an early predecessor of today’s regional S-Bahn network. It served the circular route Weinheim – Mannheim – Heidelberg, which is now operated as RNV tram line 5.
The station building constructed in 1940 has survived to the present day. It now houses a restaurant next to the OEG City Beach, which was established in the 2010s.
Although my goal isn’t to create a perfectly accurate reconstruction, I decided to combine elements of both the past and the present. In these pictures you can see my attempt to recreate the original OEG station as it may have looked before 1940. Unfortunately, I was only able to find a single photograph of the first station building—the second-to-last picture in this post. Alongside it is my own vision of a city beach, which never actually existed here until modern times.
At the same time, my version of Mannheim still features the Kettenbrücke, simply because I love the way it looks (see the last picture). In reality, however, it had already become too narrow for the increasing volume of traffic by the end of the 19th century and was replaced by the Friedrichsbrücke.
The OEG station in my project is actually a combination of two tram stations. The beach includes a person magnet and a pier for passenger boats, and all pedestrian paths are fully functional.
As always, I’d be happy to read your comments and suggestions, especially if you’re from Mannheim or know its history well.
Hello. I never played Transport Fever (1) or Transport Fever 2, I just watched some videos about these games.
I bought this game because it's on sale now, I paid 10€ for Transport Fever 2 - Deluxe Edition and I maybe will buy a DLC for 2,49€ not sure if it's worth it but everything is on sale so why not.
Do you have tips and help for Beginners? How should I start a map to learn to build? Should I use mods or is that something for later? If you say mods are good for Beginners please let me know which mods I should get.
The first picture said that my downloading capacity was 12.000 something MB,
But then i installed a bunch of mods and all of a sudden it told me that i have 21 thousand MB or what it was??
And in the third picture ive got 11k MB????
Why does this change so often no why does it change at all?? If you’ve got an answer please write it in the comments
Some players dislike to start switches right from the end of the platform (while it's so convenient to build diamond like this), because terminating train may be unable to change track and go back. Sometimes, you got 200m station and 197m train, and it wont fit. How this is possible? And where to start switches?
I found that on terminating station, by default, game puts barrier (is that correct term?), which eats up about 3-4m of track and platform. I assume trains are not allowed to touch this barrier, so about 5-6m of station length is lost.
To address this little thing, obvious solution is longer platform, but sometimes you got no space. Here, i added short piece of track to use all the platform length:
Game doesnt require electrification or high speed on this piece
Here goes actual example, station length is 280m, train length - 278m. Sounds dangerous 😄
Default and elongated track for comparision
This is rear of the train, exactly 2m left before the switch
The key Mods used are Indian Names, Yeol's Pax Only(Removes Industries and adds Mail), Undergound Station for 'Metro Line' between Close Cities not connected by main Railway line
Hey, I never played any Transport Fever game. I love strategy games and I wanted to test Transport Fevet 2 for a while now. The game is on sale at the moment and I wonder if I should buy and test it or just wait for Transport Fever 3. What would you do?
Spent way too much time on detailing this colliery. Set in mid 1920s.
It's already July and there isn't a set release date this year, so what do you think the probability of it being delayed until 2027 is?
So a little background, I played railway tycoon 2 when i was a kid, and even tho i didnt understand shit about wha is going on, train go choo choo ya know. I wanted to buy those but they arent available in my country, so i came to this. I watched some videos on this game, railway empire and open ttd but i did not really understand things. So help me be more informed.
So my question is , is this game similar to RT2? I know you can have all types of transports, but if i wanted to can i get by with just trains?
Is this Beginner friendly as well? This is my first game of this kind, and I work 2 jobs most days so I dont want something that feels like a third job. I want a middle level challenge and watch train go choo choo and kinda chill. On this note as well can I just stay on steam engines eternally instead of going modern.
I wanted to get railway empire 2, but that one has mixed reviews, as well as dlc, with lower discount, while transport fever 2 does not. Is that one better for trains overall or is this one just as good?
Is it even worth a buy now that TF3 is coming out. From what i understand, these games are usually like "earlier game plus" with how they advance, so Will waiting and saving up for TF3 be better in the long run?
How does this compare with Open TTD, besides graphics. This is also an important ask.
Thanks for the help. Asking cuz while for many people it is quite low, I live in a third world country and for me its still worth one entire days worth of food , and im not that rich.
EDIT : I bought it. Thanks for the help ^^ .
So, I am working on a UK inspired map utilizing a mod called "Fantasia Map Generator". I went through a few tries but I think I have found the map I really want to work with.
My major questions are:
- My plans aren't to go further than the 1950s, so I want to focus on largely mineral traffic and manufacturing and farming. This is helped with the Industries expanded mod. However, I would like some opinions on where I should put farmland for this, as this is heavily UK inspired and I am an American.
- I am also working on placing towns, many of these were generated or placed myself. But I am still working on ideas for where other towns can be placed.
I am a proficient transport fever player, but I've never really made a map before nor have I ever had to plan a logistics network so any advice would be helpful!
Hello! I'm looking to ger started playing TF2 (pr TF3 if it comes out) and I'm looking for some tips & help. From what I saw, it's Cities Skylines but more focused on public transit. Any help is apreciated.
