How to achieve a Mediterranean style on TF2?

Hello, I'd like to create a map with a Spanish/Balearic style.

The problem is that the only climate that seems suitable (in terms of color, etc.) is arid, but it's too dry and has a topography completely unsuitable for a Balearic style (crevices, etc.).

I've been told about combining terrain generation with climate using heightmap export, but the result is disastrous (awful rounded edges, horrible beaches, etc.).

Do you have any ideas on how to do this?

Quick preview of Stackolonia ! (Work in progress)

Stackolonia is the fictional country I was designing; I know it's far from perfect, but I was looking for constructive feedback to improve.

* French-speaking country
* The style is very distinctive, a mix of American, Dutch, and Belgian influences, and full of little references from all over the world.

Note: I would love to receive feedback, but please don't downvote or hate without reason. I have no ulterior motive with this project, I'm just having fun. Thanks in advance!

Looking for a host family / room with an adult for the school year (17 y/o Belgian student) (URGENT)

Hi everyone,

I’m Conrad, a 17-year-old Belgian student.

Last year I moved to Morocco on my own and spent the school year in Marrakech with a host family. It turned out to be one of the best experiences I’ve ever had.

Starting this September, I’ll be studying at British International School of Casablanca (BISC). Unfortunately, despite months of searching through friends and family, we haven’t managed to find a host family in Casablanca.

I’m therefore looking for either:

  • a host family,
  • a couple,
  • or a responsible adult who rents out a room in their home for the 2026–2027 school year.

A little about me:

  • 🇧🇪 Belgian
  • 🎂 17 years old
  • 🎓 Student at BISC
  • 💻 Passionate about computer science and technology
  • 📚 Quiet, respectful and independent
  • 🚭 I don’t smoke, don’t drink and don’t party.

My parents are fully involved in the process and are happy to speak with any potential host. They will, of course, guarantee the rent and we’d all like to meet beforehand.

I’ll be in Casablanca on July 13-14th, so if anyone thinks they might be able to help—or knows someone who could—I would be incredibly grateful.

Even if you don’t have a room yourself, a recommendation or contact could make all the difference.

Thank you so much!

Need advice/plan to get roommate in casa

Hello everyone,

I’m Conrad, and I recently turned 17. Last year, I moved to Morocco and studied in Marrakech while living away from my family. Thanks to my network and relatives, I was able to find a host family there.

This September, I’ll be moving to Casablanca. Unfortunately, despite a lot of searching, it seems that host families are much harder to find there, so I’m now looking into renting a room or joining a shared apartment.

Does anyone have any advice on where to look for trustworthy roommates, shared apartments, or even host families in Casablanca? I already have a couple of leads, but I’m not really sure where to start.

Any recommendations or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks a lot!
