Chances they gave the offer to someone else?
I was referred to a tech company (by someone who’s on the hiring panel for the job I applied to) and they contacted me last Thursday night asking to schedule the recruiter round Friday morning. From there the next round was immediately scheduled Monday morning with the director. The director calls my phone Monday evening and says we can’t wait for the recruiter and schedules the next and final round with the hiring manager for early Tuesday morning. I was told by both the director and hiring manager that decisions will be sent out on Friday.
I felt that the round with the recruiter and director went extremely well. The hiring manager round not so much he probed at all my responses and had a follow-up for everything I had to say and I felt I could have answered his follow-ups a bit better.
It’s Friday I have not heard back. I emailed the recruiter and received an automatic reply response saying the company is shut down for the holiday weekend. I think they chose someone Wednesday or yesterday given how fast they were moving. It doesn’t make since they were moving so fast and I haven’t heard a peep yet and now I’m assuming I need to wait until Tuesday when they said it would be Friday. What do you think? Should I just move on at this point?
