I’m an adult, have my music degree and have only played clarinet. I’m looking to add the alto as a group I play with my need an alto player in the next few years.

I have a working student model alto. It’s a Buffet. And a Vandoren AL3 mouthpiece.

For doublers, what were the biggest challenges? Did it impact your clarinet playing?

I’d be interested in hearing your thoughts, especially if you picked it up as an adult. I know I probably should have started much much earlier
