I'm thinking of buying it as my first ever 7 string! But I'm hearing mixed opinions on Cort itself.. help me with it

I'm looking forward to buying my first ever jackson, but I don't wanna risk spending too much as it's my first, if I like it I might mod a bit or buy a better 7 string..
