Sues and Lexie's apartment

I’m on Season 7 and I was genuinely so happy when Sue finally moved out of “the Bin” and into that luxury apartment 😂

But did anyone else expect them to make a MUCH bigger deal out of it? By Heck family standards, that apartment was basically a five-star hotel. I was waiting for Frankie, Mike, Axl, and Brick to come visit and completely lose their minds over how nice it was.

It felt like such a huge upgrade for Sue, but the show barely made a thing of it. I don’t know, I was expecting a whole episode or at least some classic Heck family drama around it!

Anyone else feel like this was a missed opportunity?

Does The Middle make anyone else feel like a better OR worse parent at the same time? 😂

Does anybody else watch The Middle and somehow feel better OR worse about themselves as a parent? 😂

Better because I’m like, “Okay, at least I remembered my kid’s school thing.”

Then worse because Frankie and Mike can be an absolute disaster and somehow their kids still turn out pretty great. 😭

One minute I’m judging Frankie for forgetting Brick exists, the next minute I’m realizing I forgot something my own kid told me 20 minutes ago.

Honestly, The Middle is less of a sitcom and more of a weekly parenting performance review. 😂

Season 7 milestone

Brick is FINALLY wearing clothes that weren't handed down to him 😂

I think this is the first time I've noticed him actually getting to choose his own shirt. Look at Brick moving up in the world 😭

Why Didn't Life Get Easier for Mike and Frankie?

Currently watching season 7 and I have questions. 😂

How are the Hecks STILL broke after sending two kids to college?

Why is Brick still surviving on crumbs of parental attention?

And why has nobody spent one weekend decluttering that house?!

I know it's a sitcom, but every rewatch I wonder the same thing.

It's so hard to work on yourself 😞

32 yo. Grew up in a broken family. Dad was never there. Mum tried to do it all but obviously couldn’t because it’s humanly impossible to raise 4 kids and work with little to no support.

Now I see the damage. My siblings all have their own issues with mum. Mum has severe PTSD and developed a very victim-mindset personality for obvious reasons.

I’m fortunate enough to be in a better and more privileged position where I can recognize my shortcomings and become more self-aware, but it’s just so hard realizing that some of the things you’ve done your whole life are wrong and need to change. Or realizing that the unhealthy things you saw growing up became normal to you because that’s all you knew.

It’s hard constantly trying to adjust yourself just to function as a good person in society.

It’s the right thing to do, but it’s just so hard 😞
