CIVP as a fresh IT engineer graduate without diploma equivalence yet?

Hi everyone,

I’m a fresh graduate in Computer Engineering, and I started working about 3 weeks ago.

My engineering degree is from a private school, and I’m currently in the process of getting its official equivalence, so I don’t have the equivalence yet.

However, I also have a Bachelor’s/Licence degree from a public university, which does not require equivalence.

My HR recently asked me to provide the documents needed for the CIVP and sent me the ANETI link to create an account and start the process. However, some friends told me that the employment office (Bureau d’Emploi) might refuse to issue the CIVP until I have the equivalence of my engineering degree.

Has anyone been in the same situation recently?

  • Is the equivalence of the engineering degree actually mandatory to get a CIVP?
  • Can I apply for the CIVP based on my public-university Bachelor’s/Licence degree, which is already officially recognized?
  • Can the Bureau d’Emploi approve the CIVP while my engineering degree equivalence is still being processed?

This is quite important for me because my salary without the CIVP contribution is below 1,000 DT, so the 200 DT CIVP contribution makes a real difference for me.

If anyone has gone through the same situation, I’d really appreciate hearing about your experience and what documents you used / what the employment office told you.

Thanks in advance!

Fresh IT engineer considering starting an AI startup in Tunisia — looking for advice

Hi everyone,

I'm a freshly graduated IT engineer in Tunisia, and I'm seriously considering starting my own AI/tech startup instead of going down the traditional employment route.

I'm still at the idea/early-stage phase, so before I make any decisions, I'd really like to hear from people who have actually gone through the process of building a startup in Tunisia.

A few things I'm trying to understand:

- What are the actual steps to legally start a tech/AI company in Tunisia?

- Should I validate the idea and build an MVP before registering the company?

- How does the Startup Act work in practice?

- Is getting the Startup Label actually useful for a young AI startup?

- What kind of initial budget should I realistically expect?

- Are there any good incubators, accelerators, or government programs worth looking into?

- For those who started a startup after graduating, how did you handle the transition from student to founder?

- And honestly, what are the biggest mistakes you made or things you wish you'd known beforehand?

I'm especially interested in hearing from Tunisian founders who built a software/SaaS/AI product, rather than traditional IT services or freelancing.

I'm not looking for the usual "believe in yourself and work hard" advice 😅 — I'd really appreciate concrete experiences about the Tunisian ecosystem, administrative side, funding, finding the first customers, etc.

Thanks in advance to anyone willing to share their experience.
