Need some advice on fixing water seepage at my house
Hi guys, need some advice from the architects here!
For the past 6–7 years, we’ve been facing a water seepage issue at home because a neighbouring factory raised its floor level, leaving our house at a lower level. During heavy rains, their drains get clogged, and water starts seeping through our walls and cracks. Lately, it’s gotten worse, causing damp walls, peeling paint, damaged plaster, and termite issues.
I’m planning to renovate the house, but since I’ve only recently started working, I’m on a tight budget.
What would be the best and most cost-effective way to fix the root cause of this seepage before starting the renovation? Any suggestions on waterproofing or other solutions that could help?
Would really appreciate your advice! 🙏
