I don’t mean to disparage anyone, but are the people who 100% Unity okay? I mean like mentally and socially. It’s an insane, life-consuming task. I genuinely want to know, if you 100%’ed Unity, are you okay?
I mean currently dead, not dead when you saw them of course. I was just thinking about the passing of time and how many artists I’ve been lucky to see. Then I was like, “I wonder how many of them are currently dead?” I can’t think of any, which may mean I should have gone to more concerts.
I am wondering if anyone has experience with the JCM2000 DS201 amps, the 20 watt version? I’ve seen a handful around but reviews seem mixed and the online demos sound really honky.
I have only Marshall heads at the moment: JCM900 and JVM. A grab and go Marshall combo would be nice to find. Should I hold out for a different Marshall combo? All suggestions welcome.
My Apple Music served me up a bunch of Arcade Fire tonight and I started wondering about their body of work. I am looking for sincere opinions about this.
Are any of their albums significant? As in, did they move the needle culturally? Were they emotionally resonant? Did they hit a certain demographic at exactly the right time and make fans for life?
I think I may have been too old for their music to resonate with me when it came out. At the same time, I feel like the band tries to elicit nostalgia.
The Suburbs sounds to me like the sonic equivalent of Stranger Things. It hits the right notes but it’s more of a throwback to something significant than it is something of significance in and of itself. Their music just feels empty, in a way, even though it had all the trappings of being emotional.
I am wondering if I missed something.
What are some lame bands with one really cool member?
I am thinking Eagles level of lame and Joe Walsh level of cool. Joe Walsh is the only reason I would let an Eagles song play. Don Felder was somewhat cool, but not that cool.
I would put Steve Perry and Journey in that category were it not for the Separate Ways video which shows that, perhaps, Steve Perry is not that cool.

I am wondering if anyone knows what the Marshall JCM MkIII circuit is based on, or most resembles. Is it more like a JCM 800 circuit than the Dual Reverb, or is it a dual reverb with a different tone stack? I love the amp. It feels more old school than the rest of the 900 series. Just wondering if it’s just a few diodes worth of difference or if it’s a huge difference. Thanks!
