[Hobby] Luminara Park — Psychological Horror Game Seeking Programmer, Texture Artist, Concept Artist & ARG Designer
Hey everyone! I'm Azog, the solo dev and creative director behind Luminara Park — a first-person psychological horror game built in Unreal Engine 5 with chapter-by-chapter releases, inspired by the likes of Poppy Playtime and FNAF. Set in an abandoned 1990s theme park, the game follows a dark corporate conspiracy involving consciousness extraction, a chemical compound called W-1, and an entity called SOL made up of 11,247 merged human consciousnesses.
Alongside the game we have a fully active ARG running at luminarapark.com with a growing community already cracking codes, finding hidden pages, and piecing together the lore. We've got VHS analog horror videos on YouTube, hidden puzzle pages, in-universe emails, and more. This is a passion project with serious vision and an already engaged audience.
We currently have a small team including concept artists, environment artists, a script writer, sound designer, voice actors and a programmer — but we're looking to expand with a few specific roles:
🖥️ UE5 PROGRAMMER
We need someone comfortable working in Unreal Engine 5 to help build out Chapter 1 gameplay systems — interaction mechanics, door/puzzle triggers, atmosphere systems. Some experience with Blueprints or C++ preferred. Our game is a slow-burn horror experience so it's less about complex combat and more about environmental interaction and tension-building.
🎨 TEXTURE ARTIST
We need someone who can create high quality PBR textures for in-game environments — specifically 90s theme park aesthetics. Concrete, weathered wood, aged metal, faded signage. If you love making things look worn, eerie and real, this is the role for you.
✏️ CONCEPT ARTIST (2nd)
We already have a concept artist on the team but are looking for a second to help with additional character and prop designs. We have a rich lore with in-universe technology (W-1 dispersal devices, LUMEN extraction headsets, guest compliance scanners) and characters that need designing. 90s analog horror aesthetic is a big plus.
🧩 ARG / PROP DESIGNER
This is a unique role — we're looking for someone creative who can help design physical and digital ARG props. Think fake Wondercraft employee manuals, in-universe equipment documentation, classified memos, hidden puzzle elements. If you love lore-building and making fake things feel horrifyingly real, this is for you.
This is an unpaid hobby project for now, fully credited. We have an active Discord community (Wondercraft Archives) and a dedicated team who are genuinely passionate about what we're building.
If you're interested in any of these roles drop a comment or DM me! Portfolio or examples of past work are helpful but not required — passion and commitment matter more.
