To be clear, I don’t hate or dislike this ship or necessarily thinks it’s forced because the two have gotten close over time, it’s just never reached any romantic levels up till now.

In the beginning she hated his attitude, but around the GMG arc the two seem like close enough friends to be on the same team and even appreciated his willingness to self sacrifice himself for his allies in Tartaros. While she may have blushed at him during this moment, it didn’t really mean much because nothing happened between them.

In fact, characters blush all the time without any implication; Lisanna blushed at Natsu at the start of the Tenrou arc and made no attempts to be with him. Mest blushed at Wendy helping a kid, then ignores her for the rest of the series. Yet fans take it to mean something more and give these 2 hate despite doing absolutely nothing.

It’s only NOW that Mira’s blush could mean something more as the author is given this ship more content. I get that it’s always been a popular ship, enough for the author to make artwork of them and acknowledged in the 2020 game.

But for the most part, it feels more so that people ship them just because they make an attractive couple. Like the popular hot Highschool girl with the handsome jock where the troupe has them together because of status and attractiveness and everyone envies them.

That being said, I’m still open if the author does build their relationship to be closer to a couple. I just haven’t exactly been invested in it enough. If it happens so be it, if not then it’s no great loss honestly. I just hope it turns out well enough.

Odds are this is just his counterpart equivalent in Fairy Tail like with Jellal, Erza, Happy and Plue.

But part of me wonders if this could potentially be confirmation of a shared universe, like Earth Land is a planet within the 4 Cosmos.

Part of me also wonders whether this is the original Eraser or a different version, since he has circuit lines on his face, could this confirm Ether Gear is now canon in Fairy Tail? That or is simply the magic equivalent to his power, like how Justice stated his Ether Gear is based on the actual Heavenly Body Magic that existed some time ago.

Most of the time, whenever Mest’s quirk goes off, he’s trying to eat or be one with the same attribute as the first few dragons in 100YQ.

The one with Selene is admittedly some agenda pushing as he was actually trying to eat snow, but since his mouth is towards the night sky it’s sort of works. Plus, Selene herself is white as snow, so in a way.

It’s also ironic that Wendy would eventually eat plants to gain Aldoron’s power, despite being startled when Mest did it first.

Biting Lahar’s head fits Elefseria because Lahar is a man of the law and a very knowledgeable guy. Elefseria is the Law Dragon whose power grants him knowledge.

That only leaves fire and gold. Although, Frosch already beat him to it as he was eating the gold of Viernes’ remains.

Wendy freaking out while telling Mest not to eat flowers, yet only to later be eating some herself to power up.

Additionally, Wendy’s new power over nature can also be seen as a callback to her fight with Cosmos.

Besides the new series possibly hinting something between Laxus and Mira, it seems to give vague hints to others as well.

I remember this ship popping up because of the gag with Max and the broom being shoved up were it don’t shine and Laki being a wood-Make user as well as a sadist with wooded torture weapons in her room.

Everyone wants to hate on Mest just for blushing, yet act indifferent or forget when other characters do far more questionable stuff.

I'm still on the fence about Mest, what he said in the recent chapter could be him trying to be supportive but came out wrong just for gags. OVERALL, this just feels like a running gag Mashima likes to do without thinking how it badly it can affect his characters, NOT JUST Mest.

Ichiya constantly sniffing on Erza. These two also have a notable age gap, with the earliest he could've met Erza being when she was 15 while he was 25.

Natsu blushed and steaming at naked Mavis, Lucy even had to block his eyes.

Makarov, another age gap issue where he slaps Lucy's butt, even though he views all the guild as his own children.

Loke has no issue giving details about his dating life to Wendy which seems like a red flag. He also blushes at the idea of Wendy and Sherria physical growth.

Macao & Wakaba, trying to chase and harass woman. They also leer at Brandish in the dungeon, talking about putting her in luring pose.

Let's say for the sake of argument that he is into Wendy to a degree, Mest still chooses not to act or take advantage unlike some on this list. If anything, it shows more self restraint because he knows it's bad to act on it. While some on the list have no issue embracing their worse traits without reservation.

This would also technically make Iginia equivalent to Admiral Zhao for burning the moon entity.

And I guess that would make Irene similar to Princess Yue for sacrificing themselves for the “moon being”.

While Mest is far from the strongest character, being mainly used for espionage and last minute saves like an Ex Machina. But in terms of overall power, he apparently has enough to teleport to another continent and back with ease, essentially scaling him around or above continental.

Worth adding that even as a country, it’s implied that Fiore is as big as real life continents. Yet it’s considered a small nation in universe.

And I believe teleportation with others reduces his range, so carrying Fried, Laxus and probably the whole B team took a considerable amount of powers, possibly taking multiple trips for each of them.

So if every major and powerful character is leagues more powerful than Mest and almost every new foe is more powerful than the last, does that make most of them far above planetary.

This makes Lucy earlier claim about herself being a fairy all the more true.

As soon as I saw Levia’s power, it instantly reminded me of Creed from Edens Zero, essential trapping a target in a mini cage prison they conjure. Difference is Creed shrinks his target while Levia only seems to trap one’s soul, as far as we know.

In the first half of the GMG arc, Rogue was introduced with a katana sword that he abandoned in the final day up to the final arc. He brought it back in the Alchemist Guild again but still has never used it to this day.

The closest we got is when Future Rogue created his own sword from his shadows to stab Lucy with.

I think some fans expected him to cloak his sword with his shadows, is similar sense to Yami from Black Clover. But instead we get it in a non-canon cover. It’s almost like the writers are aware of the concept but don’t take advantage of it. It’s right up there to the covers of Mira and Laxus on a date or dancing together.

What’s funny is Totomaru in one of the games did a similar gimmick with his sword, wrapping it in flames.

I got the Zeref Awakens game and I wanted to record the gameplay and post it onto YouTube. Purely because there’s a game exclusive arc with new characters and I wanted it to be easily available to anyone.

It’s all in Japanese so I’ll have to mostly wing it. And eventually find a translator for Closed Caption for the video.

My first idea is that the “Re” part gives the impression of a redo or a what if reboot, probably around the Fantasia festival from Laxus’ perspective and branches off into a different canon timeline.

Another is that it could take in present day for the new upcoming Fantasia festival where Laxus will take part of this time, maybe even defend it from some threat.

It could either be slice of life where it’s all just fun adventure and down to earth conflict. Or possibly a dangerous foe Laxus has to stop, my first guess would be his dad again.

It could be a prequel or show flashbacks of Laxus growing up, showing his relationship with his dad, maybe others like Gildarts being the cool uncle, maybe his mom could appear, how he met and formed his team etc.
