How to navigate a relationship who knowingly breaks a boycott for career advancement?

A person I know was seemingly "suggested" to collaborate with an Israeli industry by claiming it's "leftist", clearly with a coercive element involving their precarious position. The person was aware of broader israeli boycott but decided to commit to this act anyway despite being sympathetic to Palestinian rights (though they are careful about what they say explicitly). This recent incident has kind of shaken me up to see the choice made when personal interest collides with broader movement solidarity. I'm wondering how you navigate such a situation, especially the fact that it changes how you recontextualize the person's choice in such a situation.

I tried to explain to them that the broader industry's big names had signed up in the boycott, especially when said industry has deeper than usual ties to the industrial complex directly complicit in the genocide in Gaza.
