Laser eye surgery when you already have dry eyes?

Has anyone here had laser eye surgery when they already had dry eyes beforehand?
I know it can make dry eye worse, especially at first but honestly my thinking is I’d rather have dry eyes and not wear glasses than have dry eyes and still wear them.
Just wondering what people’s experience has actually been. Did your eyes get significantly worse long term or did they eventually settle back to how they were before?
Thank you
EDIT: Wasn’t expecting this many replies 😭 but after reading through them all I’ll probably just not get it tbh. The risk of making my dry eyes significantly worse just doesn’t seem worth it. Thank you everyone for being so honest about your experiences.

general xray or specialise?

hiii, I've just finished second year and I'm starting to think about where I'd like to begin my career when I qualify - I'm probs thinking quite far ahead but I would like some advice on this.

so my initial plan has always been to go into general Xray upon qualifying just to build a solid foundation before specialising as I know Im not the biggest fan of general Xray but its obviously a very good skill to have.

I currently work as a hca at my placements sites ct/mr department which i've been doing for almost a year and through this I've realised how interested I am in CT and how I can see myself doing this once ive qualified. through this several of the radiographers have encouraged me to apply for the training posts once they come out in January as they think i'd be a good candidate. however when I came into radiography I was always thinking mammography as a speciality; I even completed a elective placement in mammography and absolutely loved it and they also encouraged me to apply for the upcoming training posts as they now take on newly qualified radiographers - and while I was there they mentioned its quite good for progression into an advanced practitioner role which I am interested in also.

now I'm just fully torn because my plan was to go into Xray build up my skills and go from there but all this encouragement to go straight into a speciality training post has my head spinning. now I know I'm thinking wayyy ahead cos I've literally just finished second year but idk i'd love to hear what you guys have to say

thank you x
